Up for bid is my 1997 BMW 540i. The car has approximately 160,000 miles on it. The car was running when parked, but the vehicle needs a timing tensioner repair. The timing has not skipped, and the engine is not blown, but the timing chain is making an audible noise that almost sounds as if it is loose. This vehicle is meant to be towed. It should not be driven in this condition. Tires are BRAND NEW, Hankook Ventus V4 with less than 1000 miles on them (see picture) . Will include new battery! This is an amazing car, V8, beautiful leather. Interior is in good condition, no tears or rips in seats just usual wear for the age of the vehicle. Has sunroof. Paint is in great shape with the exception of passenger side fender which the clear coat is peeling on. The car has been sitting for a few months so the paint could use a nice wash and wax. Title is clean. I have driven this vehicle since September of 2006 although the title belonged to a friend at the time and only in 2010 was it transferred over to my name.
