WOW Where to start. This is a 1952 CJ2. It was built by a machinist and a architect. It was built in the late seventy's. The Jeep has axles out of a 79 ford truck . Both axles are front axles. It has front and rear steering.!! It has coil springs on all four wheels. The jeep was built to go hunt for gold in the Rocky mountains. It never did hunt for gold, as all it saw was street use. The whole drive train has only ten thousand miles on it. The axles have all new bearings, seals, Transmission was completely built, it is a turbo 400, also rebuilt was the transfer case. Which I was told is a AMC transfer case. The frame was lengthen, twelve inches so the cab is not so cramped. The front axle was moved forward and the back one rearwards, to achieve better approach angles. The fenders where made wider by six inches to fit the full size axles. It has jeep steer shaft and wheel, and seats, out of a Wagoner. It has nice gauges in place and ready to work. This sweat ride has had thousands of hours put in on its build. All the wiring is there and motor mounts and radiator to through in a Chevy Small block motor. It had a 327 in it but that was pulled and sold a while back. It needs is a motor and you are ready to rock. The owner said he stopped driving it because it got stuck in neutral. The problem has not been looked into, He just stopped driving it, he is getting older and needs to sell the jeep. He is in his late seventy's, I am helping him to list it and sell it. The two guys who built it had over ten grand into the jeep and that was back in the day. The Jeep would drive down the road at 65 to seventy then when you wanted to go offroading it would gear down to a crawl. The owner said when the four wheel steering was enabled it would turn circles in a small street. The jeep has a new best top that has been sitting in the storage with the jeep for the last ten year. It comes with some soft doors that would need some modification to fit perfect. Over all I feel this jeep has TONs of potential. It could be made into a desert runner or a rock crawler very easily...
