Vehicle Detail
Restored as a wonderful driving car by Sean McLaughlin, well known British car parts distributor and British car dealer in Florida. This driver car is a strong runner. It shifts smoothly and drives very well. You'll enjoy jumping in it, cranking it over and hitting the road! It appears to be virtually rust free. The body, while not perfect, is excellent and I have not found any body rust. The chrome is intact but isn't perfect because there are cloudy areas and some pitting. Windows crank up and down smoothly. All in all, it is quite a head-turner! It would be a great car for your local British car club. The four speed gearbox is smooth and trouble free as is the drive train. Sean McLaughlin, the restoration professional who I bought this TR-6 from, told me the previous owner installed a rebuilt engine. I can't guarantee that, but the engine is this car's best feature - it is strong and always keeps an excellent oil pressure. I would drive it just about anywhere. The title is clear and says the mileage is unknown. The odometer says 77,000 miles but I don't know if the odometer has ever been replaced so I just put down "unknown" at the DMV. It drives like a low mileage car - that's for sure! The interior is very nice with comfortable seats that are in excellent condition. It has relatively new carpet, very nicely restored wood on the dash, with just one very small hairline crack in the vinyl. The tires are nearly new. Only issues I know of are the doggone horn and the parking brake are not working. It's British and supposed to leak but if this car does - it is minuscule! It has a very good top, but not all the snaps work easily. I have thoroughly enjoyed driving this TR-6 . . . you will too!
