1999 Cadillac Catera - 53,958 Original 3 Owner Miles - No Accidents Motor and tranny are strong. No noises, exhaust smoking or slippage. Front tires are weak and need replacing. Although the car tracks straight, the tires are worn unevenly - a front end alignment can't hurt. Brakes are fine. Runs great but the "Check Engine" light is on. Computer scan indicated possible vacuum leak. Valve covers leak a little oil. You won't see oil on the ground, but if the car sits for a day or two the oil that leaked will burn off of the hot engine pipe. After it burns off, it's fine for the rest of the day. Drive it home. Car has Auto Check documented low miles. The car that "zigs" was priced at $35,000.00 in 1999. This was my daughter's first car. We bought it from the second owner with 38,000 miles. She loves the car and will miss it. Body and interior are very nice - very minor scratches and light driver seat wear. Although it's a 6 cylinder engine, the fuel economy is poor, and the car likes high test gas. It is also expensive to maintain (My daughter now drives a Nissan Sentra. She says it's like going from a 747 to a Piper Cub, but she has a long drive to college every day and loves the Sentra's fuel economy.) This car is going to the highest bidder. No Reserve!
