Up for sale is a Very nice 1970 Dodge Charger 500 This car is Galen Govier Certified! The car is a very nice driver but has a spun bearing in the engine, which needs fixing because of bearing noise, the owner has decided to sell the car with the motor pulled, apart and in need of repair, will need to be cleaned and assembled and put back into the car. The motor needs the crank turned and new bearings and it will be ready to go, will make a nice winter project to get ready for spring. The complete engine is included and is a 1974 440. It's bored .040" over w/flat top pistons. cam is a hughes # He 2832Bl- #1106 springs and #5001 lifters. double roller timing chain. The heads are shaved .030" and valves are stock. The intake is a transula with a 750 double pumper. The rear end is a 8 3/4 sure grip with 391s and teh transmission has a rebuilt 727 with a manual shift body that has about five years on the rebuild. The interior had some new parts installed about 10 years ago but the front seats need recovering, just have slip on covers right now. Front floor pans were replaced and carpeting was replaced about 10 years ago, headliner 2 years ago, rear seats are original and in nice shape. Has a tic toc tac which needs some work on the clock, there are a few imperfections in the paint because it is a 10 year old paint job but still shines nice and is a real head turner, drivers front fender has a bondo crack in it, the lead in the seam under the vinyl top has some bubbling that you can see up close, but headliner is in real good shape, rear frame extensions were repaired due to rust with flat bar. see pics. rear valance has some minor damage, there are some minor stone chips on the lower quarters, engine bay is painted flat black right now, there are two sets of pictures, one from when it was first restored ten years ago and recent pictures of it the way you are buying it now. The stripes were offered in 69 from hurst shifter but dodge didn't take it then went with the tail bumble bee stripe, the car is also a local car show trophy winner.
