Vehicle Detail

2004 Land Rover Freelander HSE - All Wheel Drive - Leather - Sunroof One Owner (was leased then bought) - 98,290 Miles This truck is being relisted because the winning bidder failed to leave a deposit or even come to look at the vehicle. Storage space in NY is not cheap. Please refrain from bidding unless you are a serious buyer. Always dealer maintained with record from CarFax. TRUCK RUNS AWFUL!!! Check Engine light is on. What bothers me is how this guy got over on me. When I bought the truck it seemed to run well - only drove it up and down the block but it had all cylinders. When I picked it up the next day, I replaced the battery and gave my driver the keys. We got about three blocks when it began to bog down and lose power. We were able to drive it on the highway, but it was an adventure. Total drive was 6 - 7 miles and my driver was flipping out. My mechanic does not "speak" Land Rover so I am selling it in "As Is" condition to the highest bidder. No Reserve! No Buy It Now! No Trades! Unless you know something I don't know, I would recommend shipping. It starts and idles but has a serious intermittent misfire. And when it idles it runs rough. If you call me, I will hold the phone to the engine and run it for you. My scanner says "catalyst sensor" something or other. I am totally disgusted with this truck! The two front tires are unevenly worn and may indicate the need for a front end alignment. One rear window does not go down. There is a barely visible crack in the passenger side view mirror. Tranny shifts nicely and there are no motor or tranny leaks. Truck may need some motor work so bid accordingly. Body is excellent! Interior is nice too - the steering wheel has discoloration - wood is nice. In fact, the truck was garaged most of it's life. Because this truck will not pass NY State's inspection... New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will pass this strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected. There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3 are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy. Sorry, I don’t make the rules but as a used car dealer I must abide by them. Any questions call 516-228-1016 and leave a message if I’m not in. Please don’t wait until the last day or last few hours to contact me. Please speak clearly. I will pick you up at the train or bus station. Winning bidder please leave a $200.00 deposit in PayPal within 48 hours of the auction close. If I don't receive the deposit within the 48 hours I will relist the car. Please plan on picking this vehicle up within 15 days of the auction close unless you have made prior arrangements with me before bidding. If the vehicle is left after 15 days your deposit becomes non-refundable and I will relist the vehicle. All vehicles that run and drive are driven at least 10 to 20 miles and usually 30 to 40 miles. I try to describe these vehicles to the best of my 35 years of experience. Our familiarity with these autos is limited to the miles we drive them. Please be aware of this when bidding. As always, if the winning bidder is not happy after road test and examination, I will cancel the sale and refund your deposit. “A bid on eBay is considered a contract, and you're obligated to purchase the item.” Final sale price is what you pay! (New York residents must pay sales tax and inspection fee when applicable.) There are no extra hidden fees!!! Good luck and thanks for looking!
