Its 1976 and you walk in your local pontiac dealer and drive away in a brand new trans am, ah what a great feeling. Fast forward its 2011 and unless you have a time machine thats next to impossible, until now. What you are bidding on is a 1976 Pontiac Trans Am with 69,339 original miles!!! Car is Firethorn Red (code 36) with tan deluxe interior Exterior: For being a 35 year old car the exterior is in EXCELLENT shape! The car has absolutely ZERO RUST!!! The paint is mostly original as are the factory decals. Body is nice and straight with no dents anywhere. Paint has a few minor chips here and there (what you'd expect on a 35 year old car) but nothing noticeable at all. Car has ALL wheel flares and spoilers and all are in excellent shape. Doors are in great shape with ZERO rust as well. Doors shut nice without any sagging at all. Even the rear pan behind the bumper is mint on this car! No Rust at all! Floors are super solid! All glass is perfect as well. Interior: Car has tan deluxe interior which is in GREAT shape. Carpet is excellent with period correct trans am floor mats. Headliner is perfect. Dash is PERFECT with no cracks or gouges. Console is in great shape. Seats are in GREAT shape! Drivers seat has one small split on one of the seams (see pictures, its barely noticeable) All gauges work perfectly. Radio is an aftermarket am/fm cassette player that was professionally installed. Radio is an original style so the dash was NOT cut and nothing was butchered. Options: This firethorn Trans Am is optioned with only a few options: deluxe interior, light group, body colored rally II rims, hood bird, rear window defogger. Non A/C car so the engine bay is nice and clutter free Wheels: Car has the original factory color matched 15x7 rally II rims complete with original acorn lugnuts, center caps and trim rims. Car has 4 newer BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires with less than 5000 miles on them. The tires are the correct factory size of 225 70 15. Suspension: original trans am suspension. Car goes down the road straight as an arrow and handles like a trans am should, AWESOME! Springs and shocks are still good as well, car sits up nice and does not sag or bounce at all. Engine: Car has the original #'s matching 400 engine with 6x heads. Engine is original down to the quadrajet carburetor. Engine runs SUPER smooth and EXTREMELY quiet with no knocks, taps or smoke. Engine bay has not been painted, just cleaned and degreased. Being a non A/C car it also has a factory flex fan. Underhood is 100% complete and the original shaker is UNCUT!!!! Car has original exhaust with cat and y pipe. Transmission: Original stock turbo 350 trans. Trans goes right in gear and shifts smoothly. Rear: Stock posi traction rear end. Trunk: Trunk is perfect! No rot or rust.
