This 1923 T Bucket was built by a great family friend of ours in 2003. He had recently retired and it was his dream to build the car the way he wanted. He set aside $24,000 to build it and it took it all! Actually, he added several thousand more in accessories & upgrades during the next few years. Prior to his declining health and since it's completion, he and his wife drove the car to a few local shows and parades. They would drive it to the local drive-in on hot-rod night. This accounts for the 3,300 actual miles on the car. When at home, it was housed in a climate-controlled garage and has never seen a drop of rain! Our friend recently passed away and we are offering his dream car for sale on behalf of his family. Their hope is that it will bring a fair price and go to someone who loves the car the way it's original owner did. He had delayed building the car until retirement when he could devote the time and money to build it just the way he wanted, cutting no corners, and using the very best of components to complete the project. He enlisted the help of a top-notch hot rod builder and the result is what you see in the pictures. I recently spoke with the guy who helped our friend build the car and I wanted to include some information that he shared with me about the car. He told me that every item/component/part/accessory that was purchased for the car was purchased BRAND NEW in 2003. Absolutely no used, reconditioned, salvage parts were used on the car. We have a large box of receipts for most everything that went into it and we will include these for the new owner. The engine purchased was a NEW GM crate 350 Ci v-8. It was purchased as a complete engine and then completely "built" before being put into the car. The bottom of the engine is stock original, as the pistons were not changed. The custom build included camshaft, heads, carb, intake, etc. At the time of completion, the engine was producing 450-475 HP! It cranks, runs & drives like NEW! The transmission is a TCI Turbo 350 AUTOMATIC with 11 inch stall converter. The builder described it as perfect for the street but still aggressive enough to pack a punch! The car has never been used for anything other than the occasions mentioned above. The kit was purchased from Total Performance, Inc. in Connecticut. All accessories were hand-picked by the owner and added. The custom paint was done exactly to the owner's specs. Hopefully, the pictures will detail much of what the car has to offer, including American Racing wheels, Hoosier tires, AFR heads & Edelbrock carb and intake. We are providing as much info as possible and will be happy to answer any questions that we can. We can contact the builder for specifics on engine, etc. We have a 20' 2008 Pace American fully enclosed trailer with electric jack that we will offer for sale with the car at $4800 (pics available upon request). We can also provide delivery of the car at an additional cost, with arrangements made prior to purchase. This is a very unique opportunity to purchase a totally original hot-rod build! So many of these cars are built over long periods of time, as time and money allow. Then, they are "tinkered with" by multiple persons during the life of the car. Many are raced, damaged, abused, rebuilt, etc. Many include used engines, transmissions and other parts. Again, this car was one man's dream come true.
