This is a great find. According to the guy I bought it from, I would be the fifth owner. All research I have done does nothing to conflict with that. This is my 2nd 47' W Series and it is rock solid. Inline Six Cylinder with 3 speed manual transmission. No rust through on the body - just super thick steel panels. I found an original rear bumper, but someone replaced the front (I'm pretty sure it is wrong for the year). It runs great. A daily driver 9 months of the year (not in rain or snow). I have the original build card (copy can be viewed) from the historical society - I was shocked to see that the numbers seem to match! Very unusual since a number of vehicles all used the same engine and it was common practice to just swap them out as needed. I installed the maple bed with stainless runners - New correct period tires and hubcaps. If you are going to either drive it or go for a full restoration, this is a great base to build from. A great summer cruiser. Crank the windshield out and open the cowl - you are never hot in this truck! Every generation loves this one. Includes Maintenance Manual and Clean Wisconsin Title. We spoke at length today, with flashlight in hand and finally realized that he had helped me decode THIS truck. Hence the one with notes on it. Sorry for any confusion.
