Vehicle Detail

detailz-detailz Store 1973 Ford F-100 Explorer Survivor 29,000 Original Miles Gotta See This 1973 SurvivorF 100 Ford 2WD 3 Speed I have been listing trucks, cars, motorcycles, tractor-trailers, boats and just about anything that you can imagine for more than 8 years now. Every once in a while you I run into really great vehicles that are a real pleasure to sell and this is certainly one of those rare occasions. This truck is a real survivor. It is not restored or reconditioned at all. It is a true original and is just like a new truck. Although it is very low in mileage it has just enough over the years to keep everything running and operating well. I have driven many low mileage vehicles and the miles were so low that there were issues with the vehicle just from sitting. This truck has an original 25,968-documented miles. I personally drove this truck for about 25 miles and it ran perfectly. I have the original manual, invoice, original build sheet, and some additional warranty papers and other related paperwork. This truck was purchased originally in 1973 from HJ Beamer Ford Sales in Meyersdale, PA. With that undercoating there is absolutely no rust or rust repair at all on the truck. I have looked all over the truck and I see no rust repair or replacement. The only paintwork that was done was as a result of a leaking garage roof that caused some paint damage to the top of the truck. The receipt for that work was at a cost of $150.00 and was dated May 24, 1990. The bed has never hauled anything at all and has always had the vinyl snap on cover. The paint in the bed is untouched and perfect. The interior looks perfect. I did notice that on the floor cover at the brake pedal there is a rubber grommet missing and needs replaced. The driver’s side vent window is bubbled a little bit and new vent trim would repair that. The driver’s side of the seat has dried out a bit and you can see where it is starting to crack. Again, an easy fix. The rear window was replaced with the sliding rear window in May of 1990 also and there is an invoice for that also. The tires are not original and the exhaust is not original. It has been replaced with duals. Under the hood nothing has been touched. The spark plugs as well as the wires are all original. In 1989 the truck was appraised for insurance reasons. It was a certified appraisal, (although it did not look real professional) and the truck was appraised at $7500.00. That appraisal letter is enclosed. This truck is a 2-owner truck. The original owner purchased it in 1973 and in 1989 the truck was sold to its current owner. In 1989 it had a documented 19,769 miles. Since then he has driven the truck very little and it is now being sold for simple fact that storage is an issue. This is a real attention getter and it is a fun truck to drive. The 3-speed is tight and feels new. The truck rides tight also. The engine runs smooth. There are no issues with this truck and you will be more than satisfied with this truck. It has not been in any adverse weather and it shows. The owner thinks that it has only been in the rain one time that he knows of.I had a body man take a look at the truck. He used a magnet all over the truck adn says that there is no body filler on teh truck at all. All original panels and parts. Nothing has been done to the truck. He says that he cannot guarantee that the paint is all orginal but if it does have any touchups it was done a long time ago and it is was done well. He rated the truck at a 10 out of 10 for a survivor truck. He says that it is great and rare find. This truck is available for inspection at just about any time. You can contact me with any questions: Jason Merritt 240-580-0859 There is a reserve on this truck. I believe it is a very low reserve and the truck is for sale locally. We are posting a Buy It Now price that is higher than the reserve. It is significantly higher than the reserve. Once the reserve is met the truck will go to the high bidder. It will not be available for a local sale once that reserve is met.A deposit is required on the truck if you can not take delivery right away. I am not offering shipping on this truck, but I will help with the shipping. I have shipped dozens of vehicles all over the world and it is not difficult.
