NO RESERVE! This classic cruiser has been owned by my sister-in-law since it was taken out of the crate. She placed 29,434 gentle miles on the bike but now is 67 years old and has decided to sell because of health issues. All of the miles have been California miles except for a road trip to Houston in 1996. The bike has been garaged for the last ten years with very little use. The motorcycle is in fair/good running condition, but there are several maintenance issues that will need to be addressed: (1) tachometer is not working, (2) carburetors need to be checked for varnish and cleaned, (3) gas gauge is not accurate, (4) tires are old and should be checked, (5) slight oil dripping from engine and front fork. Cosmetic damage includes scrapes on right engine guard, rear left turn signal arm is bent, heat bubbling in the center of the "dash" area, slight wear and scratches throughout the bike. My sister-in-law is an artist who frequently includes trademark roses in her work based on her last name. Consequently, she personalized the gas tank with hand painted acrylic roses years ago. If the buyer removes the roses from the gas tank, the gas tank will need to be repainted. The original owners manual is included. The GS1100L is four-stroke, air cooled, DOHC. Four, inline cylinders fed by four Mikuni BS34SS carburetors. Five speed, shaft drive. Twin disc brakes in front, single disc brake in back. 12 volt, transistorized ignition. Fuel tank capacity, including reserve, is 4.5 gallons. I will deliver the bike to most California or Nevada locations and will charge about $1 per mile from Bakersfield for delivery.
