This auction is for a fully loaded 1969 Dodge Charger R/T 440 TRIBUTE painted in bright metallic silver with a black R/T stripe and comes with original Chrysler build sheet. The car was originally a high optioned 318 car with factory power windows, power steering and air conditioning (needs compressor). From what I've been told the factory options such as the power windows are pretty rare on these cars so if you are looking for a comfortable, equipped but powerful muscle car then this is the car for you. The car is now equipped with a very strong (1970) 440ci motor including an Edelbrock Torker Manifold, Edelbrock 4bbl Carb, Chrome Moroso Air Cleaner and original 727 3 Speed automatic transmission. It has an 8 3/4 323 SureGrip rear end and includes a great set of period American Racing Signature Magnesium Torq Thrust wheels (valued at $2,500) not the modern day cheap versions. Original hideaway headlights work great as do the interior lights, including the dome light and dash lights. Interior is in great condition and includes the original "Hound's Tooth" fabric seats, with just one small tear on the drivers seat. Headliner is perfect and the carpet is in good condition. There is a after market tachometer installed on the steering column. Also an after market Sony CD player installed in the dash but original AM/FM (not included) could easily be re-installed. Dash pads are in great condition with no cracks, scratches or tears. The instrument cluster is an original untouched R/T correct Rallye Dash with 150mph Speedometer. The trunk is rust free and includes a brand new Chrysler trunk mat. All original chrome, including wheel well mouldings, is in great condition. Floor pans look to be in great condition and rust free. I purchased this car in August with the intention of turning it into a full show car but then the Hemi car that I had wanted to buy for the last three years was offered to me a week after I purchased this one. As per usual my wife has got her way and won't let me buy the Hemi until this car is sold... I paid $27,000 for the car as is and I am setting the reserve lower than it should be for a muscle car like this. My loss is going to be the winning bidders gain! The car is currently not registered.
