Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1976 Porsche 911S Targa with a 2.7 litre 6, and a 5 speed manual gear box. Rare Emerald Green Metallic Y9 paint code. Car sat after collision for a few years before I got it. I have drained the gas and oil. It has fuel up and out of fuel filter. Fresh oil, drained engine and oil tank and refiled. It needs the CD ignition box replaced. No spark. I think the car sat after the accident with the key on and burned up the box. I was planing to install an aftermarket more reliable and better performing ignition system. I installed a new correct group and size battery that has been on a battery tender since new. Car cranks over nice but no spark. I was told the car ran fine prior to the accident. The car retains the factory motor and trans per the Certificate of Authenticity that I have from Porsche. Engine #1163635 2.7 litre, and Trans #6461977 5 speed, all numbers match what is in the car. The car was produced 06/11/1976. The options are Light Metal Wheels, Additional Cooling Coil, Sports Steering Wheel 380mm, Power Windows, Pirelli Tires. The Interior is Cinnamon Leatherette/36 or Tan. The front end damage is not bad enough to replace any structural panels (in my opinion) but will need a light pull. I had the gas tank in and out and it has not affected the opening, if that helps describe the damage. Its more upper panels not the frame rail. I have a fender and front bumper bar. I was planing on pulling all the glass and stripping it to bare metal. There are no other signs of prior collision damage but some paint work has been done. These years had a problem with paint peeling off. All floor pans are rock solid. The targa top will need to be recovered but the frame is really nice and folds up correct. This is a very rare color. I have been playing with 911s for over 20 years and have only seen 3 in this color. I have only seen a few and one is for sale on http://www.clubcarrerabend.com they wanted $32,990.00 and it went up to $25,900 on ebay. If you go to there website you can see some pictures of what this car should look like. The vin.# on clubcarrera's car is 11 numbers away from my car. Again,I do not think they made many this color. All of the wheels on the car are straight. Seats will need to be recovered. I have the spare tire that has never been inflated and all of the mounting hardware. I also have the trunk carpet and interior carpet the originals. I have a clear and clean Michigan title in my name. The car is rock solid as far as rust goes, I was told it came from Arizona. It was owned by a doctor from Ann Arbor MI before I got it. I hate to sell this one but I have to many projects and I hate to see it just sit. This car is worty of a nice restoration. Bone stock and numbers matching is a real good start to an investment grade 911. My reserve is what I have invested in it.. Any questions can go through Ebay or you can call or text me at 734-751-6666 My name is Scott. $500.00 Deposite within 48 hrs. of auction end and the rest due within 5 days. I can help load the car, but shipping arrangments and quotes are up to you. I am located in Livonia M.I. zip is 48154 about 20 minutes west of Detroit.
