Vehicle Detail
Congratulations! You have found what is likely the finest 1969 Coronet RT on the planet. It is fresh from a multi year rotissorie restoration by someone who knows Mopars. It is show ready and maybe the only black with white interior 69 RT left. I have never seen another one in the 25 yr I have been doing this. In addition to the rare color scheme it is a nicely optioned model with the Big Hoss 375hp 440 Magnum, air grabber hood, side scoops, 6 way seat, tach, console, 3 spd wipers, black vinyl roof and white RT stripe. We are TOPSHELFMOPARS and Mopars is all we do. The same body man was on this car from the stripping of the original black paint down to virgin, bare metal to the blocking, spraying and final buffing of this black beauty. When one person stays on a car from beginning to end the consistency of vision and quality are evident in the finished product, especially on a black car. The paint is all PPG prouducts from the base DP 50 epoxy primer to the K38 primer to the DBU color coat to the hi solids clear coat. The finish is nothing short of flawless. This car has had a fresh, complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. Every nut, bolt, washer, fastener, latch, light hosing, trim piece, ect of any kind was removed and either replaced or/and restored, polished, painted and reinstalled. All original parts were used where possible. This is NOT some thrown together bunch of parts but rather an extensive 4 year effort with extreme attention to every detail. There are over 2000 man hours in this car! It has less than 500 miles on it so far, has yet to see any rain and all the little bugs have already been sorted out. Suspension/brakes/wheels&tires: The leaf springs are the original, heavy duty multi leaf with original part numbers. Front suspension completely rebuilt with all new upper and lower bushings, sway bar bushings, and tie rod ends and ball jts. also has all paint dobs and pencil markings on suspension. New shocks on all 4 corners. All new brakes front and rear with stainless brake lines and all components inside drums were restored and painted. All new brake hoses. New correct master cyl. Complete stainless emerg brake cable setup, correct for 1969. The wheels are new 15x7 in frt and 15x8 in back with fresh redline radials all around. Also has new gas tank and 3/8" pick up with 3/8" stainless fuel lines and complete new exhaust system with 2-1/2" galvanized pipe with turbo mufflers. The car sounds like a big block RT should. Interior: Original dash pad, new carpet, orig 6 way seat, new front seat covers in orig pattern (with seat tracks restored), rear seats were too nice to replace, original seat belts and original console (too nice to replace). The orig steering wheel and column were completely rebuilt and restored, inside and out as were both pedal assemblies and the emerg brake assy. All painstakingly painted the correct colors and textures. The heater box was disassembled and completely restored inside and out with new heater core. All gauges and switches work as they should inc tach and odometer. Orig 2 watt AM radio with new speaker. Engine/trans: Orig numbers matching block (vin# stamped on block), orig crank & rods, orig heads (906's), orig intake (#2806178), orig exhaust manifolds (#2843992 & #2893879), orig AVS carb (#4618S-professionally restored), orig radiator (#2949053-new 4 row core) and orig shroud with impossible to find for the 22" radiator orig 7 blade fan and orig wiper motor (#2983116-professionally restored). Engine was bored and new 10:1 TRW forged pistons (assy was balanced), new rings and bearings installed. Comp Cams hyd cam 1 size up from stock and has a nice loping idle. New hi-vol oil pump with 65 psi at idle. Orig power steering box was completely gone thru and also has new pump and hoses. Correct 727 torqueflight trans was completely rebuilt with new 2400-2600 converter. Orig 8-3/4 rear with 3:91 gears and sure grip. This car will leave 2 very long black strips of rubber! WINNING BID IS NOT AN INVITATION TO COME AND INSPECT CAR. WINNING BID IS A BINDING CONTRACT. PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING. CAR IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. BTW-My only neg feedback is from ablueangel733. This bonehead was winning bidder on a door i had and tried to force me to honor a $10 shipping rate that ebay defaulted onto my auction without my knowledge when i listed it even though i had added the stmt as soon as i saw it that the shipping WAS NOT $10 but solely based on buyers zip code. He obviously tried to take advantage of the system but I refused to let him. ANy reasonable person knows a full size car door cant be boxed let alone be shipped ANYWHERE for $10. What I dont Dodge, I Ram.
