Completely un-restored and all original, no need to restore it, the condition is out of this world! This dream bike was owned in San Jose California and it was purchased new from San Leandro Cycle Center on 10/9/1976 with 3.1 miles on it. This is an astonishing and highly coveted one-owner motorcycle that after many years of being in San Jose California the sole original owner transported it to Las Vegas to accompany his other incredibly low mileage private museum vehicles. We know the prior owner very well and we can attest to his worthiness that the miles are true and accurate. The last car we bought from him was a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E with only 500 miles that went wild on eBay if that tells you something about his taste. Unless someone can show us different, this is the lowest mileage CB 400 F on the planet that is on the market for sale. Introduced in the fall of 1974, the CB 400 F took the place of the CB 350 F in a huge way and became the bike to own in its time with. Known for its 4 into 1 exhaust design, the CB 400 "F" quickly became the leader of the competition and ever since the model has maintained a solid following of enthusiasts that appreciate the vintage history that encompasses this machine. This is an all original no stories California / Nevada dream bike that brings new meaning to the word "SURVIVOR". Condition wise you can only describe this bike as concourse museum quality and our pictures very adamantly tell the story. There is no damage on it, it has never been laid down and you will marvel at the condition when you think that this is a legitimate 36 year old motorcycle that is as close to new as you can imagine. A miraculous preservation would be the best way to describe it and beings that it was kept in a climate controlled environment there are no signs of rot and weathering. The operability of this 1975 Honda CB 400 F Super Sport is stellar! Upon receipt of this bike from the transporter we never tried to start it. One quick note, this bike was stored properly with the fuel drained correctly and always on the center stand to alleviate any stress on the suspension/tires. After a quick visual inspection we thought it would be only just to send it to a qualified Honda motorcycle mechanic to completely go through it and provide any and all necessary services & adjustments to it before attempting to start it. As you will read below, we left no stones unturned and we've done our diligence in making sure that it's road worthy and in tip top shape with no needs. There are no leaks, it does not smoke, the idle is 100% as strong as it was new and the engine gets up to operating temperature as it should where it properly maintains its correct running temperature without overheating. And that's no surprise, it is air cooled and the design is flawless even for 1975. We have personally ridden this motorcycle so we can attest to its pedigree as a fine running machine with zero issues. In the video we have posted up above you can clearly see that it starts with one kick of the kick starter and with a quick touch of the push button electric starter. All lights function and everything works as it did in 1975 with no hesitations. Due to the extremely low amount of miles we did not take it on the interstate in an attempt to keep the miles at an absolute minimum, we only took it locally on surface streets and it performs significantly well. After riding brand new top of the line sport bikes and countless other cruisers we feel that we have a very good understanding of what a balanced motorcycle is suppose to feel like. This CB 400 F glides perfectly straight down the road with zero hesitations. Turning is very precise and direct, more of how a sport bike would handle of today than a big cruiser. At about 400lbs it's not exactly light however operating it you would never be able to guess the weight. Personally it feels like half of that, very nimble & agile, refreshing for something that is such a classic in age. If you are an avid collector or someone that doesn't want to spend thousand upon thousands rebuilding a project bike that will not get you your return then this motorcycle is an easy choice. Sure you can restore one but it still won't be an original with only 345 miles on it... INSPECTION & SERVICE!
