Very nice rebuilt / restored BMW r69s. There is always a lot of controversy as to whether an old bike has been rebuilt or restored. Call it what you like, this is what was done to the bike 15000 miles ago. I took this r69s totally apart down to the bare frame. The frame, both swing arms, the driveshaft housing and various other small bits were then powdercoated black. All the sheet metal, (headlight bucket,fenders,gas tank) were painted black by Russ Foy of Custom Classics in Ravensdale, Washington. The pinstripes were hand painted by Jr. Nelson, his shop is in Tacoma, Washington. The engine was rebuilt by Kevin Brooks @ www.brooksmotorworks.com The crank was rebuilt by Ed Korn. All new bearing gaskets and seals were used. New slingers were installed. The transmission and rear drive were checked by Kevin Brooks and found to be in good shape. They were both resealed and installed in the frame. The bike was assembled using all new stainless steel fasteners. All 3 axles are stainless. The wheels were rebuilt using Bucannon stainless steel spokes. The brakes have new linings from Bench Mark Works. The fly wheel has been lightened. The bike has 12 volt electrics. It is the conversion system sold by Bench Mark Works. It is basically a /5 system. On Nov-07-11 at 12:55:25 PST, seller added the following information: The numbers match in all 3 spots, engine,frame and steering head badge. The heads were rebuilt 2 the sametime as the engine. New valves,guides and springs. The shocks have less then 5000 miles. They are Works performance shocks. They are rebuildable should they ever need to be.
