Vehicle Detail

Hello MGA sports car collectors! Here is a very nice, mostly restored 1961 MGA 1600 roadster with 4 speed transmission.Odometer reads 48,520 miles but title states 92436, so I do not know what is correct mileage? It doesn't really matter because it runs well (I recently spent over $1500 with the mechanic tuning it up; putting new brake calipers and much more) it drives well but I have only driven it around this neighborhood locally a few times. I can not keep a stick shift car due to health reasons, but I bought the car because I had another MGA roadster years ago and could not resist this one when the opportunity came about. The paint is beautiful red urethane as you can see in the photos; it is a very good driver level paint job that can enjoy now without the concerns of a show car! The interior has new seat bottoms but could use the seat uppers redone to have a nice overall "original"appearance; I have also bought new seat covers (not pictured, but included!) which will look nice and are very comfortable. The radio is not connected, I did not consider it important for now. The brakes have been done with the expensive new front disc calipers! New battery and other new mechanical parts. Top is good and useable, but not perfect; and I have a beautiful Tonneau cover so you never need to put the top up!!! I think that you can drive it home but transporter would be the safest. I have been an ebayer for 13 years and have 100% positive feedback and many satisfied buyers through the years, so you can buy with confidence- BUT,It is a 50 year old car, it is a driver, and is NOT perfect- therefor I sell it AS-IS WHERE-IS and ask that you come to see it in person or send someone on your behalf. You can read my 400+ feedback, all of my previous buyers have been very happy with my finds through the past 13 years! Please see all 43 photos and email with any questions. Please have all funds ready before bidding. I will set a very low reserve and it will be sold on Sunday or if I get a Buy it now buyer, it can end early at any time! So... PLEASE CONSIDER THE BUY IT NOW OPTION if you like the car and don't want to risk losing it, I PRICED IT TO BE CHEAPER THAN ANY OTHER ONE IN COMPARABLE CONDITION! Deposit via Paypal within 24hrs. is Non-refundable,so please be sure that you want this car before bidding! The only history I have is that I found it in NJ and it comes with the open New Jersey title. While it certainly looks like a beauty and is fun to drive, it would be considered a driver , there are always some things to improve, but it certainly looks and runs well. Fully restored examples of the MGA roadster are selling from $30,000-$40,000+; my reserve is less than one third of this to assure it will be sold!Happy bidding, high bidder will win the car, it absolutely will sell. Thank you!On Nov-11-11 at 20:11:27 PST, seller added the following information:Hello, here are the requested photos of the Title, the underbody and a wet puppy. There are now about 50 photos so you can see the car well from all angles. Just remember it is not perfect and be realistic in expectations and you'll enjoy the car; if you need a perfect one or are a "hard to please/complainer type" of personality, then you should buy a fully restored "beautiful" one for $30,000+ and then you will see near perfection. This is just a nice one to drive and enjoy! I think it looks very nice, but you can always find something to complain about if you try! The TITLE is clear and ready for any U.S. state or for European export- it is 100% OK! The underside was NOT cleaned at all, NOT painted or detailed, it looks pretty solid and frame looks fine! Today is literally the first time that I have looked under the car, and using the camera was much easier than laying on the ground. These cars sit very low! It looks good enough to me for a safe driver, and you can clean & paint the whole underside with some undercoating for less than $100. Well...that is all I can think of for now. I priced it to be a safe deal at about 1/3 of the price of a fully restored car! I think it is a great price for a "driver" level MGA that you can drive and enjoy now without the worries about driving & parking a perfect show car! I recently spent about $1500 on mechanical improvements including brakes, tuneup, etc. etc. This is one to have fun with, knock around in, take it shows and not worry every time you park that people are going too close to your car like you do with a show car. It certainly has some flaws but it still looks VERY nice overall! As you can see in the photos, it is very nice and you can improve it without spending much! Good bidding Sunday night, or keep in mind that auction may END EARLY with BUY IT NOW because it is getting very close to that price! Thank you for bidding!
