This is a 1972 C10 Chevy Pickup truck. It is the desirable short bed, fleet side pick up. It is a Deluxe model so it is factory 2 tone yellow and white with the upper aluminum trim and the lower rocker aluminum trim with wood grain insert. This truck is almost all Original paint which is what attracted me to it in the first place as well as its uncommon yellow and white color. As you can see in the photos, both front fenders and hood have been repainted in the late 70's due to some road chips in the front metal. The paint match is not perfect, but it shows up as more off color in the photos as it does in real life. Fit is excellent on all the panels in the front group which leads me to believe that they are still the original parts, just repainted as was common practice years ago. The rest of the paint on the truck is original with some touch ups here and there. Overall the paint has a decent shine to it still. I have hand buffed the car with cleaner wax and a hand polish and this is the result of that. If you went over the whole car with an electric buffer, it will shine like new, I have no doubt! This truck was a southern truck, came from South Carolina from the original owner, and it was well taken care of. I have been over this entire truck and can find no evidence of accident damage, welding, cutting or body work. It has a very nice patina to the paint and as it was a southern car, it has some rust which you can see in the photos. Nothing that is scary, or worth worrying about fixing. Also added was a new rear bumper and a front bumper, which is not on the truck yet but it will come with it! All the lights are new, as well as brand new V8-400 badges. Also note that the bed it totally solid with no rust! Hardly even dented. The old toolboxes are mounted in the bed and have been there for ever. They will stay in there and the next owner can remove them if you like. Tailgate functions as it should! The truck has had a full mechanical overhaul. This stated with a full brand new suspension from CPP. This included brand new drop spindles, and lowering springs with shocks for the front along with all new tie rods and ends, as well as steering link and associated parts. In the back, it has lowering springs and new shocks as well as a CPP Panhard bar kit. The ride is fantastic, very nice and smooth, and feels like a big 60's car more than a 70's truck! The brakes are also brand new, CPP disc fronts with new calipers and drums in the rear. Also new is the CPP Master cyl and booster so the truck has plenty of stopping power. Its all new and works great! New brake lines were installed the the system was bled for perfect pedal action. Also new is the 400 small block Chevy motor that was bored .30 over. Fitted with a nice street cam and machined internal parts. New Holly carb, brand new radiator, new hoses, new alternator, really nothing else needed. The Trans is rebuilt as well. Its a 3 speed powerglide and functions just fine. The motor has long tube headers with flowmaster 40 series mufflers that dump out before the rear end. It sounds fantastic!! The motor runs excellent, revs out cleanly, drops right to a very smooth idle and is very responsive. It stays very steadily at 180 degrees as metered on the Autometer gauge installed in the cab. I drive this truck daily and don't have any issues with it. Brand new American Racing Torq Thrus D wheels in 15 x7 inch size and all 4 tires are brand new 235/75/15 Cooper tires. Almost 100% life left on these tires. The truck does not rub, makes full lock to lock turns with no issue and rides really nice! On the interior, the truck has had a complete redo in original materials. The old carpet was shot so it was replaced with a new black kit that was made for this truck. Also added were new door panels with the original detail trim installed back onto the new panels. All new interior door and window handles as well. The original seat cover was gone, so I had the seat re padded and covered with an original style black and white hounds tooth cover. It looks perfect and is super comfortable. The original gauge bezel was not in the greatest shape so that was replaced with a new one and the gauges were cleaned up when it was apart. They look NOS now. New glove box liner was added, new pedal pads, and an original 1959 Chevy Impala steering wheel as well. New emergency brake release lever as well. It looks very clean and new inside the truck. I wanted to maintain the original outside of the truck but be able to enjoy the clean interior of a new restored truck. Everything on the truck works, dome light, horn, wipers etc. It had to all function as it was my driver. Again, note the rust in the photos. Nothing bad, but its there. No leaks from water inside the cabin either. This is a very solid and well sorted out truck that you can enjoy everyday and know that its a sound investment. Its not a repainted truck that might hide some less than perfect repairs, its a true shop truck that you can enjoy right now. Finding a truck like this is not easy, or common. Also, personalized license plates and frames do not come with the truck and are not for sale! If you are looking for a C10 that is different from the other ones out there and gets attention everywhere it goes, this is the truck for you. Don't miss this one, they don't come along often.
