Own a classic that will only appreciate in value, 1st year of the CB550 Four cylinder. 1974 Honda CB550 wearing its original Boss Maroon metallic paint. Frame number CB550-1009156 engine number CB550E- 1009189. Side covers have no cracks or breaks. Seat has no rips, tears or cuts in cover. Original thumb latch gas cap on tank. Purchased from the original owner family, including warranty card showing engine and frame numbers, tool kit and owners manual. When I got the bike it had after market high rise bars installed from the dealer when new per customer request. I changed them to CB400F bars per my own personal taste. All the following was done last fall and I have only ridden it two or three times short mileage since- NOS tank emblems and side cover emblems installed, new Metzler tires-tubes- rim strips, new spokes, new chain, new clutch friction discs, new clutch springs, new Viton valve stem seals, oil and filter changed, NOS air filter, new airbox to carb rubbers, new intake to head sealing o-rings, fork seals changed, master cylinder re-built, front brake caliper rebuilt with new phenolic piston and seal, new stainless brake hoses, new AGM battery, new plugs, new NGK spark plug caps, new handgrips, new wheel bearings, carbs cleaned- retaining their original Keihin jets, HondaMan transistorized ignition module, gas tank cleaned and lined with KBS Gold Seal tank liner, NOS CB400F bars installed with NOS right and left handlebar switches and NOS push-pull throttle cables, NOS speedo/tach rubber cushions, NOS Honda logo stator cover . Working turn signal beeper. HM323 exhaust with NOS rubber muffler connecting tubes and band clamps. I have too many bikes and not enough time to ride. Clear Indiana title in my name. The old, original title that I transferred had no area for mileage, so unless I had a notarized odometer statement from the owner the title won't say "actual mileage". The BMV clerk should have marked "exempt" for the mileage instead she put "not actual mileage". If this bothers you then please don't bid. My GPS unit is shown in some of the pictures- it is not included with the bike. I do have a NOS Nippon Seiki speedo unit that I will sell to the buyer if they wish. I had an identical 1974 CB550 Boss Maroon metallic higher mileage bike that I sold last year to a fella in Australia This is a used, 37 year old motorcycle and sold as is where is with no warranties either expressed or implied. I will let interested foreign buyers bid, but you will have to notify me so I can allow your bid to get through- too many scammers out and about. Payment to be by cash on pick-up, certified bank check or bank to bank wire transfer. Bike and title will not be released until funds clear. $200 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of purchase. Bike to be paid for within 7 days and picked up from my residence in Logansport, IN, 46947 within 30 days close of auction.
