2002 Honda Accord DX - 4 Door - 5 Speed Tranny - 207,808 Miles Runs nice. Starts right up - slight minor tappet noise that goes away after a minute or so warm up. Clutch was replaced 2 years ago. This highway driven car has a lot of life left in it. Body is clean - no dents to speak of. The windshield has a large crack in it. In fact, with a good wax job it will look almost new. Interior is intact but dirty - I did not run it through the car wash. Driver door only opens from the inside latch. Needs a new handle or the rod popped off. Brakes feel fine but I did not pull a wheel to check the pads. One headlight is out. Tires are good. Drive it home. I did not check the vehicle for NY State inspection and the onboard computer is not ready. Rather than drive the car 100's of miles to reset the computer (the car was sitting and the battery was dead, the computer reset back to zero. In NY State the computer monitors have to be ready to pass NY State inspection.). I am selling it in "As Is" condition to the highest bidder. No Reserve! No Buy it Now! No Trades! Please don't ask!! New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will pass this strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected. There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3 are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy. I try to describe these vehicles to the best of my 35 years of experience. Our familiarity with these autos is limited to the miles we drive them. Please be aware of this when bidding.
