For sale is my 1976 Mercedes Benz 450SL convertible. It is a true Indiana "barn find"! Picked it up at the beginning of summer, drove it home, and have been driving it daily since. Now that the temp is dropping, it is sadly time, to give it up. The car was repainted at some point, and not to the quality this beauty deserves. As you can see in the photos, There are some areas with cracks and bubbles. The original color, can be seen in a few of the photos. I was told upon purchase, that this car was given to an attorney out in California, as "payment" for some services rendered. It was then, supposedly brought to the midwest a few years back. It was purchased from a older man, who recently lost his spouse, and decided it was time for it to be enjoyed by others. As you will see in the photos, this car does not have the "usual" Midwest rust. It has a solid and straight body. It has an original working Becker radio! This is a 35 year old car. If there are specific details that are important to you regarding condition of vehicle, please ask before bidding. More photos available upon request. Hard top is in good condition; see photos. Soft needs to be replaced, but frame is fine. The hard top stand in photo, will be included with purchase of this car. Winning bidder must pay a deposit of $500.00 thru PayPal upon completion of auction. Balance must be paid within 7 days of close of auction. Car must be picked up within 7 days, unless previous arrangements are made. This car can be driven anywhere, or shipped at buyers expense.
