Great running and looking early MGB. Detailed ground up restoration over 20 year period on a southern car. The car has only been driven about 250 miles since completed in summer of 2008. Over $20,000 invested. New, period correct, professional Ice Blue Metallic paint inside and outside, all metal replaced as needed, extensive mechanical rebuild. Features European lighting, many new and NOS parts. Body Car originally from southern USA. All rust removed and professionally repaired with new metal parts as needed. Professionally repainted in base coat, clear coat Ice Blue Metallic. Color changed inside and outside. Ice Blue Metallic is period correct to the British Motor Co. in 1969 and more commonly used on the Austin Healey 3000 also assembled at the MG factory in Abingdon, England along side the MGB. NOS mirrors installed. Original aluminum bonnet. Original bumpers are serviceable but need to be rechrome plated to match standard of the rest of the car or could be replaced with repros for about $200. Interior and Top New English made seat materials and panels professionally installed. The seats and panels are black with navy piping. New English Wilton wool carpet and rubber trim. New dashboard. New console. Seats totally rebuilt with new foam padding, webbing and seat covers. New rubber weather seals. All other components restored including gauges and controls, original period aftermarket wood steering wheel, original period aftermarket walnut shift knob. Period correct radio available but not installed. New Robbins top and restored frame. Engine The engine has been extensively rebuilt by MG Automotive and Performance Clinic. The list of new parts includes: pistons, cam, all bearings/bushing, oil pump, water pump, uprated rocker shaft, timing chain, seals/rubber parts, motor mounts, nuts and bolts, rebuilt no lead head and lifters. The engine has been overbored .040 and fitted with the appropriate new pistons. Proper British style hose clamps are used throughout. The block was boiled out and milled. All machine work and assembly were professionally done. Fuel System The carbs have been rebuilt and tuned. The fuel lines were replaced and a new fuel pump has been installed. Tune-up performed. Clutch and Transmission The clutch, throw-out bearing, clutch slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder and clutch lines are all new. Original 4-speed transmission checked and served by MG Auto. Brakes, Suspension and Wheels Completely rebuilt system by MG Automotive. New brake components all the way through the system including: new master cylinder, new metal and rubber lines, new wheel cylinders in the rear, new brake pads and shoes and new rotors in the front. New suspension parts include: new bushings and new wheel bearings. Restored suspension components. Original Dunlop wire wheels restored by Dayton Wire Wheel. Period correct size tires with new inner tubes. Correct jack and tools. Electric New wiring harness and connectors. Restored irreplaceable small sub-harnesses. Restored gauges and controls. The starter was professionally rebuilt by the Electric Garage. NOS Lucas European amber turn indicators installed front and rear. New headlights and all bulbs throughout. New 12 volt battery installed. New NOS antenna installed. Car comes with period correct AM/FM British Leyland radio that has not been installed. Cooling System I installed a new radiator, new thermostat, new correct hoses, fan belt and radiator cap, new heater core, powder-coated heater housing, correct British clamps and new control cables.
