This is an exceptionally well maintained original 1982 Mercedes 380 SL convertible that has been in one family since new.The car was bought brand new from Stephenson Motor Company of Dallas,Texas.She took possession of the car in December of 1981 and this became her"baby" from this day forward.The car is in amazing condition.It was always kept in the garage.When she drove the car to work or on errands,she always put it in covered parking,so it never got exposed to any direct sunlight.The car has only 85,756 original miles.What makes this an outstanding and reliable driver is the abundance of service records with no expense spared.She kept this car in perfect running condition and always did preventive maintainance.There is a full folder of receipts that depict every bit of maintaince required by Mercedes,and also work that she wanted to have done to ensure that the car would always run like new.The dual timing chain conversion including a valve job was done at 55K miles with a receipt of over $4800.This car is a super driver and has alot of life left in her.The car runs and drives as well as it did brand new in 1982.For the last 12 years,the car has been in the care of her daughter and son-in-law in the San Diego,California area,and continue to maintain it meticulously.The paint and body on this car is in perfect rust free condition and still has the original factory white paint.There is no body damge anywhere.The paint is like new(hard to find in this shape with original paint),especially for the age of the car.No particular dings or blemishes anywhere.It still has the hand painted pinstripes,which she had done by the dealer few days prior to the original delivery.The car comes with the correct 14" Mercedes alloy wheels and tires.The car has both the matching white hardtop and beautiful canvas convertible top.The enitre blue leather interior is still the original one and in magnificent shape.No rips or or wearing of leather color.The dash and wood are the factory original ones and are in perfect,unblemished shape(no plastic cover or aftermarket wood).Original trunk looks like it was rarely used.The original engine compartment still has the original paint.Stunning original is the best way to describe this beautiful SL convertible.Hard to come across a fully documented and extremely ultra well maintained car.All 70 pages of documents and receipts,as well as the Mercedes booklets with all the maintainance stamping,will be awarded to the new buyer.Original window sticker is also included.Thanks for looking.
