This fine automobile is coming out of the stable of Mr. Dick Jones, one of the early Hot Rod and Race Car builder’s here on the West Coast, a leading innovator of fabrication and machine work on any and everything fast. Mr. Jones describes this Buick as a “real cream puff”and from the looks and drive of this car he is right. An all original un restored car with under 90k miles on the odometer. This car has been pampered and garaged here on the West Coast since 1955, it’s a shining example of excellent care and know how. The only modification done by Mr. Jones was new dual exhaust, pro repaint, air bag rear suspension, hidden CD player. The hood and trunk ornament have been removed as a “custom modification” by Mr. Jones - both original hood ornament and Buick trunk medallion will be included with the sale of the car. The ride of the Buick Century is legendary and this car shows why after all these years this car is still highly sought after and prized by its lucky owners. The original 322 FireBall Nailhead in this 55 has a lot of power and most enjoys rolling out at about 70 mph down the freeway. The Buick Dyna Flow transmission has positive shifting through the gears and is smooth up or down with no bad habits or sounds. Original rear end gear was inspected and found to have perfect wear marks without issue. Brakes are functioning well with good stopping power and no pull either way under any pressure. Electrical is all intact and working including lights, dash, speedo etc. The heated front seat lines have all been replaced recently along with other rubber items as necessary. All the exterior bright work on the car has been polished & re plated into show quality pieces, the front and rear chrome and stainless combined for a cost of $8000. dollars, and the high quality of workmanship done by these masters really show. This 1955 Century is sold where is as is with no warranty expressed or implied. We take these auctions very seriously as should you and if you do not have the funds to complete this transaction please do not bid. We will store the car for 30 days free of charge in our climate controlled shop and after 30 days normal storage fee’s apply. We will be present to oversee proper care in loading of your vehicle onto your transport vehicle and can assist in securing a transport company for you if need be. For overseas buyers there will be a small fee to trailer the car to the Oakland California International shipping port, please contact through email for additional cost’s. Owner would prefer direct wire transfer for payment, but other payment options can be arranged. Car will be paid in full by the end of 10th business day after auction close, and car will be paid in full prior to California Title being signed, Bill of Sale being made out and the car physically leaving our control.
