Vehicle Detail

I have owned this unusual truck for some 20 years, but have purchased another hot rod. I will try to list as much about the truck as I can. I want the buyer to know what they are purchasing so there will be no surprises or disappointments. First, let me list the negative things: The truck will need a little body work. The body has some imperfections. There are some small bubbles under the paing on the door and fenders. The front fenders have been redone many times. I have welded in new patches, but the bondo always seems to bubble after a period of time. There is a drip now and then from the transmission pan gasket and also a drip of oil. Now the important stuff: The engine is a 350 cu. in. GM crate engine with about 55,000 miles on it. The motor doesn't smoke and runs strong. It is basically stock. I have run synthetic oil in the engine, changing it every 3000 miles. It has a Pete Jackson noisy gear drive, Brodix aluminum intake, Mallory Unilite Distributor, Taylor plug wires, Summit Racing rebuilt Edlebrock 650 carburator (this summer), Hooker competition headers, 396 big-block radiator with electric fan. The truck has a 350 tranny with lock-up torque converter and new Gennie shifter. It has a Holly electric fuel pump with Fram cartridge fuel filter system, an aluminum fuel cell and aluminum battery box in the bed. There is no rust-through anywhere on the frame. The front suspension is from a Firebird and has disc brakes. Power steering, power brakes with a Corvette dual master cylinder. The rear is 12-bolt, non-posi unit narrowed 16". Moser rear axles with Ford axle retainers. Micky Thomson Pro-Sportsman tires (1 new this summer). The cab is chopped 4". A newer solid Studebaker tailgate has been installed. There is a 2" receiver trailer hitch mounted between the rear frame rails and hidden by the license plate. There are no door handles: bear claw door latches with remote selonoids and door poppers. The rear fenders are fiberglas. The cab and bed are very solid. The seat is from a Ford Ranger and is gray cloth to match the headliner. The tilt, telescopic steering column is from a Cadillac; the steering wheel is from a Firebird. New wiring fuse block. AM/FM/CD. Monster tach on the custom made aluminum dash. This truck has been painted several times over the years. The current paint is Hot Rod Flatz black. The interior of the cab, engine compartment and bed are orange. The shark mouth was done with spray cans, just for fun, looks cool. I will not deceive anyone on the condition of this truck. It is a cool truck that needs a few touches to bring it back. Some of the fit of the body panels is not the greatest, but I'm not a body man. If you like the truck and want to talk about anything, just call.
