Vehicle Detail
CAR has the rare 3rd Row Seat option. Time to move on. I am selling y wifes 2002 Volvo V70XC that she has loved dearly. I just bought her a new 2012 Honda Civic. This car was used since we bought it back in 2004 or 2005 (cant remember). We lived in the mountains of Colorado and this vehicle was the only way for my wife to get the kids to the bus stop when all other front wheel drive vehicles failed. She had a Grand Cherokee and always drove this car as her preferred vehicle. It IS A FAMILY car with 4 kids. It is not perfect and needs misc items. Most recently the instrument panel went out and that is when I said ENOUGH. It had about 165,000 miles on it when the cluster went out and it is impossible to tell how much gas is left in th tank, how fast you are goingm temperature, etc... The check engine light then came on and we have drove it rarely since then. We have had to use our GPS to tell us how fast we are going since all information is out on the panel. Research has told me that it is a solder joint that powers the instrument panel that went bad. Instrument panels are 100 bucks here on ebay, but I am done. It has a new battery in November. Yokohama Ice tires are in EXCELLENT condition with no plugs or patches. New brakes put on it in December. Car runs FANTASTIC and shifts strong. I would drive it anywhere in the US without hesitation. We have traveled to Mexico (southern) several times and it has NEVER, ever failed us. I had the timing belt and water pump changed at 103,500 miles by Volvo. I have ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, used synthetic oil in this car since we have owned it. ALWAYS. Not semi-synthetic, but full synthetic Mobile 1 or Amsoil. I have extra oil filters that will come with it too. I put a K&N Filter in it since we lived at 10,800 feet in Colorado which allowed it to breath better and provided more HP when going up the hills from Denver. As mentioned, the car is cosmetically ok and needs attention. Things that I can say for sure that need replaced or fixed are:Headlight bulb need replaced on drivers side, still both fog lightsDrivers leather seat needs seam restitchedCup holder has one arm broke offCheck engine light just came on when instrument panel went outInstrument panel needs fixedDrivers side headlight needs a wiper bladeSun roof is catching not allowing it to slide open all the way (might just be catching on something, but it works and opens in the up position)It is about time to change the spark plugs again. Been 60k miles since I changed them with the NGK Irridium's GOOD: The sound system sounds like you are in a symphony hall. Power seats work great, drives straight down the road. Runs super strong and shifts strongSuspension is tightNo funny noisesSOLID CAR. CARFAX shows 3 owners but I was #2 and my wife was #3. We have owned it it jointly since2004- 2005. More pictures are available upon request. Let me know your email address when responding. On Oct-24-11 at 07:57:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that I can pick anyone up at the Wichita (ICT) airport any weekend within 14 days of auction close (if you choose to fly in and drive it home). This car is ready to drive home anywhere you live. On Oct-24-11 at 12:22:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that AC has never been charged and it still blows ICE COLD as it did the day it left the factory. Rear vents for AC also work and blow cold (or hot when heater is on). Not many people know but an AC system is a closed system and should never need recharging unless it has a leak in it. This system is tight. Car is tight and drives straight, no funny noises on highway, or rattles even on a dirt road. Car is solid and is a good runner. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. It is impossible to put everything about it in a listing because there is much more great stuff about it than there is bad, and even though the bad seems bad, it is all relatively small things.
