1978 Corvette Indy Pace Car from Colorado. I am selling this for my uncle who believes he is the third owner of this Indy Pace car. It was purchased in Castle Rock, Colorado at Midway Chevrolet. He has owned this for about 7-8 years and has always kept it covered in his garage. He has put less than 3,000 miles on the car during this time. This Indy Pace car was the 1,067th in production and has the manual 4 speed transmission. However, this one I believe is more difficult to find because it is the L48 option. All of the manual 4 speeds that I have come across had the L82. The car is in nice shape with normal wear. Please only bid if you are going to buy this car because we will start the bidding at $15,000 with no reserve so the highest bidder will purchase it as he is motivated to sell. He does not have the Pace Car decals. The AC works and the car runs great. I took a ride in it last week. He had the numbers checked by the Corvette Center in Colorado Springs when he purchased it. He recalls that the 8 track player may have eaten a tape when he first purchase it. The car has newer tires, but he still has the original tires that are probably more than 1/2 worn. If you are happy with the car, you can purchase it for your high bid amount. He will NOT do any negotiating on the price at that time. If you don't want the car, you don't have to buy it. HOWEVER, if you have the car shipped somewhere prior to seeing or driving it, it is yours. He would prefer you come see the car before buying it if possible.
