Vehicle Detail
1996 SUZUKI LS-650 SAVAGE PROJECT OR PARTS BIKE Here's something that may be of interest to someone out there. It has problems and has been stored at Grandpa's house for several years. It's a 1996 Suzuki 650 Savage. This bike belonged to a local boy while he was in college. Sometime after he bought it with about 11,000 miles on it, something went wrong. He and a friend of his started to tear into it and try to fix it, but didn't know how so it ended up at Grampa's house, where it sat. The valve cover, etc. was taken off and several things were unhooked, such as gas tank, cables, shifter, etc. The clutch cover is cracked. I've seen them here on eBay for $20-30 or so. The parts that came off are in a box. I don't know if anything's missing or not. All I can do is show you the picture of the box of parts. The exhaust was also taken off, but is there as you can see in the picture. If you have knowledge of motorcycles this could be right up your alley, or if you need a parts bike. It could be an easy fix or not. I don't know, but I'm listing it as is, as found. It could make an excellent Father/Son Winter project. If you have any questions please let me know before bidding. I do not have the key. I do have a clear Texas title. It's located in West Texas, in CRANE, about 30 miles south of Odessa. The bike itself looks pretty good. It has a few nicks and dings on the tank and here and there, but for the most part looks pretty decent. The mirrors are rusted and there are a few lightly pitted areas on some of the chrome that will probably come off. All I've done is wiped it off with a damp rag. It could really be cleaned up. The seats are in pretty good shape. The pictures give you a pretty good idea of what you're getting. It is what it is. This item is to be picked up by the winner here in Crane, TX at a convenient time for both of us after the auction is finished. There is a $200 non-refundable deposit due at end of auction. I'll try to be as accomodating as possible as my schedule allows. If you want to talk to me over the phone just ask and I'll give you my number or give me yours and we can discuss it.
