1975 Maverick, runs great. Only 35,000 miles. Sat outside for many years, so the underside has some rust, but the body, interior, and engine are all in good shape. New battery, new starter, and new brakes all around. Has a 6-cylinder, 250 cu in engine, manual shift, 3 on the column. I bought this as a project car to work on with my son, but we've both run out of time to do any more work on it. We've been driving it locally for the past 6 months, and my son has been driving it to school. What it still needs - - the handbrake cable is rusted, needs to be replaced - the horn and fuel gauge and back-up lights do not work (may be a fuse?) - muffler needs to be replaced - no spare tire, and missing one hubcap - tires are old and worn, needs new tires - the compression pump (for cleaner exhaust) is disabled, needs deceleration valve fixed (or just remove it) - several small rust spots, on rear bumper, near wheel wells, and one on the hood. It needs some more TLC, but she's a solid, classic, good-running car and draws lots of attention!
