Low reserve! CONVERTIBLE! POWER SEATS!This is a great looking sport and luxury vehicle! From the way the car drives and looks you would never guess it's a 1996. This Florida car is garage kept, never-smoked-in, beauty that looks great and smells clean.The engine is very strong and provides the power you expect from a BMW -- and being that it is a manual transmission, even more so. The suspension still feels very nimble and comfortable at the same time. Absolutely no problems in either department! This BMW is equipped with a dual-zone climate control system. Both the heat and A/C work well. However, what others will not tell you is that being a rag-top convertible, it will have difficulties retaining heat or cold (as the inside climate escapes through the rag-top material). It has it's original roof and still retracts at the touch of a button (though sometimes you may have to get out and give it a little help). No leaks, but there is a seam in the rag-top that is begging to fray a little (you may eventually need to do a little stitching -- see pics).No electrical problems. The check light of the diagnostic computer reads ok. The engine compartment is clean and free of any leaks. Breaks work great, but the ABS system is inoperative. My mechanic has assured me it is perfectly safe to drive as is: "Never rely too much on ABS, as they don't dramatically reduce stopping distances." However, it could prove expensive if you feel you cannot live without this feature. Aside from one small dent near the nose area (see pics) the exterior is in great condition and will impress. And while we are at it, the radio's display backlight has recently burnt out, forcing me to guess what station I am listening to. Additionally, some of the plastic trim in the cabin area (where the seat-belts retract have begun to crack --see pics). Given all that, as you can judge from the pictures -- aside from some natural wear and tear for a car of this age -- this car looks great both inside and out. I have all maintenance records for this vehicle since I purchased it -- dating back to 2001.The power locks, windows, seats all work and are in excellent condition. All the power controls and buttons work.The car also comes with VERY nice sport tires have plenty of tread life left and have been rotated and balanced.
