Vehicle Detail
This is a very rare 1924 Nash Touring Series 40 4 cylinder engine 4 door 5 passenger. According to www.Allpar.com the Nash 40 Series engine was a 166 c.i.d. it was used from 1921 - 1924. It is very difficult to find one of these still completely intact. I have found 1924 Nash series six cars online but no other 4 cylinders out there. This car has an amazingly nice and original long list of parts that would be very hard to find to restore of of these cars. It is bumper to bumper complete, all lights, glass, gauges, interior, top, wheels, rims,etc.. is all there and all original parts from what we can tell. When people talk about " Garage Finds" this is the type of car they dream about. This car was recently purchased from the family of the original owner who has kept the car since it was new inside the garage. This Nash has all the original parts still in place even down to the Gum Dipped tires look like new and the very cool Spare tire cover, sporting a early Parkersburg, WV tire dealer " Woodward's". This Nash is much rarer and cooler than the Ford Model T's, old Chevy's, Stanley Steamer's, or other T buckets that pop up for sale. This one is a rare rust free, museum piece. It is totally unmolested and sits just as it did in 1962 when it was last driven. It is even got a 1963-1964 West Virginia Centennial Antique motor vehicle license plates. A plate collector rarest of the rare. This car has zero rust and will be an easy restoration. You will not find another one of these available. It's a good thing this car was kept inside instead of out in a Metropolitan area. The original owner wasn't a Rambler either, she stayed at home. This is not a Street rod, Hot Rod, or a Rat Rod, but it could be if you want to own it and make it one. Perform a concourse restoration or just get it ready to drive in the local parades. It's your choice. This is your chance to buy a real classic legend. Bid now and be ready to own this car. Seller reserves the right to end the auction early if the bid price is satisfactory. This car will sell, don't miss your only chance to buy this car. Please feel free to ask questions if your are a serious buyer. Will assist purchaser with shipping arrangements buyer pays all fees involved with shipping. No checks for more than the amount. Will not ship to Nigeria at any price. The family of original owner has not been able to locate the door handles or the rear seat bottom cushion for the car. These two items appear to be the only thing missing from the car. I have been told the handles are simple and are very similar to Model T handles of this period. This automobile has been in a home owners personal garage since 1962 without being uncovered, driven or started. It would be foolish to attempt counter productive to try start this vehicle after being stored for nearly 40 years without properly going through everything. We removed the spark plugs added oil to the cylinders to protect them, and confirmed that engine does have oil flowing, and then turned the engine over by hand. It does crank smoothly and feel as though there is compression. Beyond that we make no claims or guesses as to the mechanical operation of this vehicle. A potential buyer requested that we post some pictures of the floor area under the seats and some pictures from under the car. The pictures below show the inside upholstery and wooden floor panels. The wood is in amazing condition and doesn't show weathering. This car is being relisted as the reserve of $11,000.00 is now off. I have also added a Buy it Now price. This car must be sold!
