Vehicle Detail
LOW RESERVE 69' Toronado. Ive owned this car for about 4 years and drive it very rarley. The numbers all match and completed a cosmetic restoration to true factory specs. The work done includes a new factory paint, complete new re-chrome, new tires, re-upholstery, engine tune-up including a new alternator, radiator and carbuerator. The car is a great driver and the engine hums until you release the monster 505 cubic engine it is. Its a very reliable car and and unfortunately do not drive as much as I want to. Just need the room as with my prior sales. I've got way more invested than its anywhere worth, so Im not out to make any money on this car except free up garage space, so bid responsibly as the reserve is VERY LOW... On Oct-08-11 at 19:23:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry for not getting back with a lot of questions lately on the car. I've had a family emergency come up last week, but I hope the below addresses a lot of question that have popped up: 1) Yes the car has a 455 and not a 500 engine... My bad...I thought it was a 500 but after looking at the block and the engine plate it is a 455. Good call2) The car has an ac but does not get ice cold. Not sure if there is a leak in the system, needs a charge or just a service3) The was no rust on the car prior to paint which cost $3k alone4) There were a lot of inquiries to see the vehicle and unfortunately my schedule was just way off to accomodate. The car turns on and drives fine... For the price its about to go for its not paying for me to accomodate everyone who wants to drive it. Sorry, but if you end up winning and it doesn't turn on and drive when you come to pick it up then I'll understand if you don't want to buy it.5) I've gotten nearly 20 "whats the buy it now price" questions to buy the car now. Well the auction ends in tomorrow and I would suggest bidding the maximum your willing to offer. Im not ending the auction because of someone sending emails offering $10k and end up being a no show.and finally...6) If you end up winning, your buying a beautiful, operational, 1969 Toronado, that I have spent over $15k on what you see in the pics. Yes it could use more work, but not much Good luck...
