Up for auction is a 1964 Imperial LeBaron, one of only 2949 LeBarons manufactured in 1964. The LeBaron was the upscale version of the Imperial and included most options as standard equipment including rear seat air, power antenna and passenger side mirror. The 1964 Imperial was the last year constructed with a full frame chassis. After 1964 they were built with the unibody type of construction. It has the 413 CI engine with the push button Torqueflite transmission. The engine ran and the transmission worked when parked ten years ago. The engine turns over electrically and attempts to fire when primed through the carburetor. It needs brake work and the tires are old and unsafe. The car is NOT road worthy. The paint is original, except for the RF door, which appears to have been damaged and repaired. The paint is wearing away on the roof and a couple places on the trunk lid. There are several scratches on both sides, none too serious.......please see photos. Left front fender is pushed in over the wheel well......I don't believe the sheet metal is stretched so might be an easy repair. The only rust perforations are pictured on the rear quarter panels behind the wheel wells and on the rear deck just below the window.The floor under the carpet has surface rust but is sound. The chrome and stainless trim is 100% there both inside and out , I believe, including all emblems and badges. Notice the worst of the damage to the trim is on the RR fender....see photo. Interior chrome trim is pitted in places but can probably be cleaned up satisfactorily. All knobs and buttons and switches appear to be there. AM/FM radio works as does the power antenna.......don't know about the power windows and power seat and gauges. It has the adjustable steering wheel, also. All glass is good except the windshield which is cracked. Needs new upholstery, head liner, padded dash and carpet. Door upholstery can probably be saved. The trunk doesn't open now. It was last opened about eight years ago and was in good condition then , no rust, and with a spare tire. From the succesful bidder, I will need a deposit of 15% of the winning bid within 24 HRS of the close of the auction deposited to my PAYPAL account and the remainder to be paid within seven days.
