Vehicle Detail

This is my 1988 1/2 Suzuki Samurai. I bought it about 3 years ago (off of eBay, ha!) for a project truck. I didn't do anything with it but drive it here and there to work a little for the first year I had it. The previous owners pulled it behind a motor home on a trailer and I have some paper work and stuff from them where they were accounting for the mileage and stuff. I have the title in hand. I have two other trucks and hardly ever drive the Sammy. This Sammy has never been wheeled (offroad or in any mud). I started collecting stuff for it and added stuff a little along. The mods to the vehicle are as follows: Added the SPOA (spring over axle lift kit) to clear some 31x10.50 tires. This is the kit I used http://www.rocky-road.com/spoa.html . To compensate for the tires I changed the front and rear gears to 4.57 from Yukon ( http://yukongear.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProdID=4770 ). The tires are Definity Dakota M/T from Pep Boys, best deal I could find on mud tires at the time. The tires might have close to 1000 miles on them. You can still see the blue on the inner white letters and in my pics you can see how deep the tread is with the quarter I set in the tread. The tires are new. The rims are new too and in great shape, no peeling or anything like that. I always liked the bead lock style rims. We call the "bead looks" Ha! About the only other thing I did with the engine was add an Accel coil and an aftermarket air cleaner to let the stock 1.3 motor breath a little better. The truck is in pretty good shape for it's age and is in excellent shape compared to most of the Sammies I've seen. No major rust anywhere. The frame and under-body are in great shape. The paint is really the only sketchy thing about it. It's been repainted at some point in it's life and it looks like the clear has peeled off on the hood and on the fender flares. I tried to take a bunch of pics of this. Engine runs good too. The transmission and transfer case shift in and out of gear with ease and although I never wheeled it, the four wheel drive works fine with no problems. No problems since I bought it. The interior is in pretty good shape too. There is a small crack in the clear lens over the fuel and temp gauge. Tried to take a pic but the reflection makes it hard. It has a Sony Xplod cd player and Sony Xplod speakers in the factory locations in the kick panels up front. The seats are stock and I just threw some cheap seat covers over them. The covers have faded from the sun. I know the drivers seat has a tear in the vinyl under the cover. It has a rare two piece fiberglass removable top. The top does leak a little kind of depending on what angle it's sitting. Strange but I never really tried to run this down. The top above the seats comes off with ease by just flipping open a few clips and the back comes off with just a few bolts. You can take the back off by yourself but it's MUCH easier with another set of hands. I used to drive it with just the back off since like most older Samurais it has no AC, but afternoon rains in the summer threw the brakes on that. I just haven't done anything with it in a little over a year other than crank it up and drive it a little bit. Other hobbies have pulled me away from it. I tried to take as many pics as possible and will take more if you want. Just tell me what you want/need to see. Please ask all the questions you want. I'll gladly send you my phone number so we can talk one on one about the truck. Here's a link to a picture album with more than 50 pics of the Sammy :http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll145/SCSuperfly/Suzuki%20Samurai/ There is a $2000 reserve on this vehicle.( Serious bidders only, don't waste my time and I won't waste yours) The winning bidder must make arrangements to pick up the vehicle with 10 days of auction end. This Sammy is not a long distance highway vehicle. When I bought it I rented a car trailer from U-haul for like $60 and towed it behind my fullsize 1/2 ton Chevy Z-71 with no problem. It's a light weight vehicle and towed better than my 22' boat. The buyer is responsible to have the vehicle shipped through a trucking company. I will help out any way I can within reason.
