Selling my 1971 Toyota FJ40 for no reserve. Final bid wins the car... First time on Ebay. Collect this and stop your searching for the right FJ40 with early round tail lights. All of the hard work is done. Original 1F motor and original 3 speed transmission. It has 109,580 miles. I have the original owners manual. It does not leak, burn oil or overheat. You will love the cool features it has. Make sure to see many pics below and youtube videos. This has always been a Bay area California car since new. The body is rust free. It has two previous owners. The second owner did some great work bringing her up to her current top notch condition. Her paint is the original Dune beige and is about a 1 year old paint job. Still has the factory rivots on body panels showing the original welds. No bondo here. She stands tall and proud with a mild 3 inch lift with Old man emu suspension lift, shocks, and bushings. There is new 33" tires with full size stock spare. It has a full chevy disc brake conversion front and rear. Stops like a new vehicle. New carpet kit and newly upholstered front seats. Dynamat padding added to floors under carpet to make cabin quieter. Its amazingly quiet compared to other landcruisers. It has mechanical lockers front and rear installed. This car has been gone through entirely to make it road worthy for the family. These parts were just changed- radiator, starter, clutch, water pump, remanufactured carb, brake booster, slave cylinder, pertronix electronic ignition Now for the cool stuff. Check out the cool dual sunroofs or how about the dual gas tanks. Switch to the second 12 gallon tank when you are taking your road trip or going off road and dont worry about running out of gas! Fuel gauge even works on both tanks. Look at the double reinforced roll bar with gun racks. The perfect thing for the hunters. Off road lights all work. The first owner was very detailed and liked to make labels. All of the knobs and switches on the dash are clearly labeled. It takes the guess work out of driving her. Also, check out the rear reverse light in the spare tire center custom fit. Its fully functional and works when in reverse gear. :) Also have the factory original working rear heater attachment. Just plug it in the back and reattach the coolant line under dash. New 8000lb winch with remote. I even have a tow bar that I will include with the sale for pulling car behind your RV or truck. By the way this car actually has lower miles because first owner pulled car around with his RV on vacations. So many of the miles are "tow miles" and not driven miles. Also have the original jack. The car starts right up easily. It runs and drives excellent. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The only issues left are dash lights are dim. The headlight switch needs to be replaced to get the dash lights to work. It works at the half way position, mechanical locker are bit noisy when turning-Im told it is normal with this type of locker but just a making a note of it. Tiny bit of rust at inside rain gutter at drivers side on top of window. Very minor and replacement gutters are available if desired. Clean title in hand. Email for more info.
