1966 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE Coded Nassau Blue/Bright blue, 4-speed, 3.36 posi, PS PB, two tops, was 427/390, now has a 71 402 long block installed. This is an unrestored car that has just been repaired over the years.The condition overall is what is to be expected after 45 years given reasonable care and usage. It is a real factory big block car. Interior appears original. Car is unmodified except for the engine. Milage shows 569xx. This car had been ,garage stored since the mid-90's. The calipers, pads, and hoses were replaced, the radiator re-cored, fuel pump, battery and exhaust system replaced. The car was made runable, but having been off the road for so long, its driving suitability is unknown. The frame appears to have only light surface rust. There is evidence of a front end fiberglass repair that utilized original components. The paint is aged with numerous defects. The power antenna is in the car, but inoperative. Mid-years, equipped as this one, make wonderful over the road drivers. I bought it as an easy restoration project, but the reality of having too many cars, including a similiar-restored '65 396, says to let this one go.
