Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Convertible. This car is a great restoration candidate or could be used for a daily driver if wanted. The car is originally from California but spent the last four years in Ohio so it has some rust issues but fixable ones and not total rust bucket. The car comes with a CLEAN OHIO title in my name. The car comes with a complete 1600cc Dual Port engine that I was told it ran fine from the previous owner but a ground hog ate a few of the wires so it will need some electrical work to get it to turn over with the key. The engine does turn freely by hand. The car is pretty complete as seen in the pictures with all the original glass that is definitely a hard find. Both original bumpers are there along with both front seats but the back seat is missing. The top frame is complete and the top is still usable with a small hole but it has shrunk over the years and should be replaced. The dash is pretty complete but will also need some work. All in all some minor parts are missing as seen in the pictures but this is a pretty complete restorable car. The car is free rolling with rough tires but the tranny and rest of the drive train is all in good order. I have additional pictures so send your e-mail address along with your request. Please note I WILL NOT DELIVER THE CAR !! as winning bidder is responsible for the pick up or haul of the car. I will cooperate with the hauler should you decide the car will be hauled to your place after the car has been paid for in full. On Sep-22-11 at 13:41:18 PDT, seller added the following information: The floor pans are only fair with a few holes and patches. OK for a driver but I would suggest they be replaced down the road for sure especially if a restoration is in mind.
