This amazing 1917 Renault is quite possibly the rarest car to be offered on ebay in the last decade. This particular bodied car is the only one known to exist in the world and is current being offered for sale with an amazingly low reserve. Every piece of this rare beauty is 100% original with the exception of the oak brightwork ( running boards, trim, front hood rests). All of the chassis, engine, transmission, sheet metal, etc. is original. The two front seat cushions are also original, however the back seat area has been recovered. The car was fully disassembled 6 years. The chassis was sand blasted and repainted. The engine, transmission, and rear axel were all completely rebuilt and overhauled to original. The body was all repainted and reassembled. The floor wood was all replaced to factory looks. The engine will fire up but will need some tuning and tinkering as the car has not been driven in a while. The convertible top will need to be replaced. The top bows and all framework is all present and in great shape. Overall you have an amazingly rare vehicle that is ready for fine tinkering and light interior restoration. All of the hard, time consuming, and expensive restoration efforts are already completed.
