Vehicle Detail
Here is something you do not see all the time. This is a 1976 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe. This thing is huge. It has a 460 backed by a C6 transmission that was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago. This is a driver quality car. It has no rust. The paint is in good condition. There are some spots that are beginning to show signs of aging, as it is thin ins some spots (mostly on the roof) However this car shows very very well. The brakes were done last year, along with a complete tune up. The windows have a small amount of tint on them, it helps keep the interior cool and protected. The car runs and drives great. The car will eventually need the carburetor rebuilt. Once in a while it will start hard. I dont drive it in the winter or on cold days so it really never bothered me. The interior is in good shape, it does show signs of use. The dash has two cracks in it, the headliner has some stains. Its all there and everything works. The AC works great, the only thing that does not work is the power antenna. It does have an old school alpine CD player in it. The vinyl top has been cosmetically repaired. It shows well, but to be perfect I would suggest a top. At 5 feet away you can not tell. Again this is a driver quality car. I drive it every chance I get. It recently completed a 300 mile trip to Wisconsin and back without a hitch. Around town it gets 10-11mpg, on the highway 14mpg. not bad for a car that weighs 5200lbs. This car is long, almost 20' to be exact. This car has awesome road presence. If you want to be noticed, this is the car for you. I get compliments on it every time I take it out. The reason I am selling is that I have acquired another Lincoln, and unfortunately I can not keep them both. As much as I hate to do this, I have to get rid of it, the only other option would be to let it sit outside. To me that seems ridiculous. I have enjoyed it, and now its time to let someone else enjoy it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Please, if you are not serious do not bid. If you are local and would like to come and check the car out you are more than welcome to. Again, this car is 35 years old, it is of driver quality, this isnt a low mileage museum piece and it is priced accordingly. Good luck
