Vehicle Detail
Ok – This is for those of you who would like to own an Isetta but do not want to pay the very high prices these little cars are now demanding. This Isetta suffered the fate of many Isetta's that were once owned by someone who was going to restore it. The first thing they do is take out the engine and put it in the front seat - I can not tell you how many Isetta's I have purchased were this was the case. Here is a very complete (with extra parts) 1958 BMW Isetta 300. It comes with the most important thing of all – a perfectly clear new Wyoming Title whose VIN number matches the frame number. (it was only in the last week or so while working on another Isetta I finally found were BMW put the frame VIN numbers – Usually they are so covered with paint you cannot see them). I am selling this as is because I have come to terms with the fact that I will never get all my Isetta’s restored (I still have 27 of them). This car has no rust except for the battery box of course. Any other rust is very, very light surface patina rust. It will take very little body work and will paint very nice. I do not know anything about the engine except that it looks very complete. The car comes with a large can with many extra transmission and engine parts as well. The car is VIN # 579541. The glass on this car is very close to being perfect! In fact, as I look around I do not see another car I have that has this nice of glass. I will also toss in new side upholstery panel blanks. Also, because I had to purchase 100 new tires from B.F. Goodrich to get the proper white wall tires for these cars, I will be tossing in a brand new set of five tires – I will never be able to use them all. The picture show 2 tires, but you will get five.
