Ok, for sale is a 1986 300SDL that I procured with the intention of converting it to WVO (though it has never seen anything but diesel), however, in the meantime, I lost my job and have to sell some of my toys / projects. Chances are, if you are reading this, or have searched for this, know exactly what it is. This MB has the inline 6 cylinder turbo diesel that I am informed has the better designed head and is not plagued by the bent-rods. It is the long body and it's in very good condition considering it's age and that someone went though the pain of doing a restore on it. Details Engine/Trans: - Inline 6 turbo diesel - Runs very good, starts at first attempt w/ no roughness - I've Always run sulfur additive* (Modern low-sulfur diesel does not offer enough lubrication for the internals) - 250k mi - Recent work, belts, gaskets, glow plugs (though the light occasionally stays on), new battery, new fuel filter, fresh LOF, new vacuum lines, really needs nothing. - Turbo works very well: steady boost with no issues - Average 24.6MPG - Transmission shifts well with no slippage Exterior: - Fresh color-matched paint job (champagne) - Lights work - Headlight washers/wipers - New tires - New brakes - All proper glass/trim - 1 dent on LF fender - All trim intact - No leaks Interior: - Very good condition - Re-dyed upholstery to OE - All trim intact - All windows work (RF slow) - All seats work - Dials work (fuel stuck on full though) - Mirrors work - Heat works - Radio does not work - A/C does not blow cold - Sunroof needs motor/cable (Have complete replacement unit)- Cruise does not work- Full size spare Comes with some misc. spare parts as well.I've done my best to describe this but I am not a MB expert so if you have any questions please feel free to ask before bidding.
