It was purchased new in Northern California and kept by the original purchaser until it was traded in on a new car at the end of last year. It went from being a daily driver to a weekend driver to a car that was taken out of the garage every few months. Being a car that has spent it's life in California and Nevada it is rust free. The body is very straight and the bumpers are like new. The original color was British Racing Green and it has been red, black and it's present copper color. The owner told me that she liked the TR so much that she would have the color changed when she wanted something new rather than get a new car. I believe it was properly stripped because the paint it not thick. The copper shows very well but there is some checking if you look very close. The interior is also original with seats having been redone once. The wood is in good shape considering the age but there is some cracking in the veneer. The top is in excellent condition including the plastic windows. It has been very well maintained over the years. It starts easily and runs great. Oil pressure remains high, over 50lbs and it doesn't heat up even on our 100+ degree days. The TR is an absolute blast to drive and we would keep it were it not for the fact that this car has inspired us to completely restore the 1964 TR4 I have owned for 30 years. IT COULD BE A GREAT CANDIDATE FOR A RESTORATION BUT IT WILL BE MORE FUN TO JUST KEEP DRIVING AND ENJOYING IT. BUY THE WAY THE MILES ARE ACTUAL.
