The owner is a very spry (but no longer driving) 93 years young father of my wife’s law partner. If you follow my auctions you know that I list cars for family and friends. I have almost no friends but thank God I have a big family (9 sibs and 82 first cousins). Back to the Legacy. It has a sweet little 2.5l engine which can get you 35 mpg on the highway if you keep control over your right foot. The symmetrical all wheel drive is unbelievable in snowy conditions and a great safety feature on all road conditions. The automatic transmission has a ‘sport mode’ that lets you choose gears, another cool plus for winter driving or pretending you are Fangio when nobody is looking. The 17” alloy wheels help in this regard also, besides looking cool. This would be a great ‘daddy’s little princess’ car. Looks cool, satellite radio ready (plus jack for her mp3 hook up), good performance but not too muscle-car like to get her in trouble. Then being used takes away the heat off if you have other little princes in the food chain: “bud dad, Tiffany got a NEW car when she graduated from college”. You got cover. You can say “No she didn’t. It just looked new”. PRICING? If a dealer had this car it would undoubtedly be ‘certified’ and you would be looking at $16k or so. Why not save yourself a couple grand and get the same car here for $14k? Reserve is set a bit below buy-it-now so give into that urge to get this baby with that buy-it-now button.
