1966 CHEVROLET C-10 2 WHEEL DRIVE PICKUP. CUSTOM CAB TRIM PACKAGE, 292 6 CYLINDER WITH 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. ALL COMPLETELY ORIGINAL FROM A CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA FARM. ALWAYS STORED INSIDE, AND USED AS A "GOING TO TOWN TRUCK", NOT AS A WORK TRUCK. ODOMETER READS 67,270 MILES WHICH IS DEEMED CORRECT, BUT NOT VERIFIED. ALL STOCK WITH EXCEPTION OF WHEELS AND TIRES (HAVE ORIGINAL WHEELS). TRUCK HAS BEEN COMPLETELY STRIPPED TO BARE METAL AND PROFESSIONALLY REPAINTED THE ORIGINAL GM FACTORY #536 DEEP AQUA METALLIC. OVER $6K INVESTED IN PAINT WORK. BEAUTIFUL RARE FACTORY COLOR, ONLY OFFERED ON 1966 MODEL YEAR TRUCKS, THAT IS A DARK DEEP GREEN BLUE. IT LOOKS BLACK IN THE DARK. FRAME WAS MEDIA BLASTED AND REPAINTED. BODY WAS ESSENTIALLY RUST AND DENT FREE WHEN I PURCHASED THE TRUCK. COMPLETE NEW ORIGINAL YELLOW PINE WOOD BED INSTALLED. I USED THE ORIGINAL REAR BUMPER. TRUCK HAS BEEN VERY WELL CARED FOR IT'S ENTIRE LIFE. ALL OF THE RECORDS AND DETAILED DOCUMENTATION COME WITH THE TRUCK. I HAVE LEFT THE INTERIOR COMPLETELY AS IT WAS, AS I WANTED TO KEEP IT AS STOCK AS POSSIBLE. EVERYTHING WORKS INCLUDING THE FACTORY AM RADIO. DASH HAS NOT BEEN CUT OR ALTERED IN ANY WAY AND THE HEATER, SIGNALS, AND ALL GUAGES WORK PERFECTLY. THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE NICELY AND THE GLASS IS ALL GOOD. THE SEAT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RE UPHOLSTERED AND COVERED IN THE CORRECT FAWN MATERIAL. IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE TO DRIVE. THERE ARE NO SEAT BELTS IN THE TRUCK, AS THE FARMER HAD THEM REMOVED AT THE DEALER WHEN HE PICKED THE TRUCK UP. IT HAS FACTORY WEST COAST JR. MIRRORS. I HAVE INSTALLED A NEW EXHAUST, AND COMPLETELY WENT THROUGH THE BRAKES, CLUTCH AND STEERING. THE CARBURATOR HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT AND THE FUEL LINES HAVE BEEN REPLACED. COMPLETE TUNE UP INCLUDING PLUGS, WIRES,POINTS, CONDENSER. THE 292 ENGINE RUNS EXCELLENT BUT DOES SMOKE AT FIRST START UP AFTER THE TRUCK HAS SAT FOR AWHILE. THE TRUCK HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN MORE THAN 200 MILES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTH AND THE TRUCK STOPS STRAIGHT. MY ORIGINAL INTENTION WAS TO REPLACE THE 292 WITH A 283 OR 327 V-8 AS THE TRUCK LOOKS SO NICE AND WOULD SOUND BETTER WITH A V-8. I HAVE INVESTED A SIZEABLE AMOUNT IN THIS TRUCK AS I HAD INTENDED ON KEEPING IT. I HAVE OPTED TO WORK ON A 1966 SUBURBAN THAT MY FAMILY CAN ENJOY. I HAVE SET THE RESERVE VERY LOW IN COMPARISON TO NADA VALUE AND MY INVESTMENT. THE TRUCK IS NOT SHOW QUALITY BUT VERY CLOSE. SMALL DENT IN FRONT BUMPER. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL SCRATCHES ON THE RIGHT FRONT TOP BEDSIDE FROM MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER CLIMBING IN THE TRUCK FOR OUR CHRISTMAS PICTURE WITH HARD SOLE SHOES ON THAT I HAVE SHOWN IN THE PICTURES, AND A FEW SMALL PAINT BUBBLES (SIZE OF PEA) ON THE LOWER FENDERS THAT HAVE APPEARED IN THE LAST YEAR. I HAVE TRIED TO ILLUSTRATE ANY FLAWS WITH PICTURES. THESE 60-66 CHEVY TRUCKS ARE GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION, AS THEY WERE SO SUSEPTABLE TO RUST, SALT AND WEAR, AND FEW SURVIVED ESPECIALLY IN THE MIDWEST. ALL ORIGINAL FARM TRUCKS ARE FINDING THEIR WAY TO THE CRUSHER AS STEEL PRICES RISE. THESE TRUCKS ARE A GREAT INVESTMENT THAT YOU CAN ENJOY AND USE. THEY ARE ECONOMICAL, FUN TO DRIVE AND EXTREMELY USEFUL. VIRTUALLY EVERY PART IS AVAILABLE THROUGH A NUMBER OF SOURCES SUCH AS CLASSIC PARTS, LMC, AND JIM CARTER. ALL ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE AT NAPA, OREILLEY AND MOST AUTOMOTIVE PARTS STORES.
