Vehicle Detail
A little about the car: This is number 121. Ownership history: I bought it from a friend who had it for at least two years (under his ownership it had the interior redone, and not much else), I have owned it since 2002. Before that this was a Texas car and before that I do not know. Condition: Very driveable. Cosmetically it is generally good. The exceptions are- some rust on the rear wheel arches and rocker panels, only (which has been treated). The trunklid needs to be repainted, florida sun got to it. The rear tires are in need of replacement (hence the mixed wheels). Also the noseband piece has a crack in the middle. Modifications: drivetrain- Engine is a 2 Liter sourced from a Fiat Brava 2000. It was rebuilt when installed. The cylinder head is a 1.8 L from a Scorpion The intake is the Alquati with Weber 42 DCNFs The exhaust is the CSC system. Bosch alternator Pertronix under-cap electronic ignition MonteHospital carburetor cover exterior- Full-length double bubble fiberglass top (removable, comes with original soft top minus straps) 037 style grille/headlight (Beta Coupe lights, 82 grille, original Montecarlo noseband, headlights are supported by welded bracketing to the car, headlights are bolted to supporting bracket, i.e. removable) Rear crossmember has been freed of any rust and reinforced. Floorboards have been redone proper before my ownership. Windows resealed- windshield, rear quarters, and rear window. interior- Rear postal shelf was redone in 2006. Looks original, patterned after another Scorpion's. Interior was professionally redone to original look in the early 2000s. Personal brand steering wheel. Original available upon request. Includes stereo with iPod/iPhone charge/play/control. wheels, brakes, suspension, etc- The wheels are 15" BWA and do include center caps, set of 4. I put on the originals on back temporarily because the rear tires were used up. Brake booster has been removed and system is re-routed. (Master Cylinder has individual outlets for each front brake which go direct). Front brakes have been replaced with Wilwood 4 piston calipers and slotted discs. Struts are- Koni in front (rebuilt in 2007) and KYB for X 1/9 on rear. Issues: -Intermittent function on wipers not working. -Rust on rear wheel arches and rocker panels. -Heater system does not switch modes (from top vents to bottom vents). Missing parts: -Bellypan. -Rearview mirror (frame intact). -A/C compressor. -Original clock. Included parts not installed: -Underbody tunnel grille. -Trunklid carpeting -Rearview mirror -A/C hardware minus compressor - The car is not sold with any warranty, expressed or implied. Questions are welcome. The last picture is before the Florida sun removed the paint from the trunklid/I began rust removal.
