FOR SALE 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S 350 Rocket IN FLORIDA If you are looking for a nice 1969 Cutlass project, this car is for you. This car had been in storage for 12 years before we acquired it and began the long hard job of bringing it back to life mechanically. Power steering and power brakes work perfectly. This car runs and drives fine. The car is registered and insured. You can drive it home. Mechanical: New carburetor New wheel bearings New brakes, lines and calipers New side pipes New radiator and hoses New belts Replaced cracked exhaust manifold New plugs and wires New starter New alternator New Valve covers and gaskets New battery Recent transmission service. (lines still leak tranny fluid) New oil filter and oil pan gasket. New (High Lift) air shocks and lines. New ignition system New Fuel pump, filter and lines Replaced gas tank and sending unit Compression test shows perfect compression on all cylinders. Previous owner claims the motor was rebuilt before going into storage. The motor runs strong, sounds great with no knocks or ticking noises. No smoke other than a small amount when you first start it after it sits. We have had this car checked out by our local mechanic and it seems to be all there mechanically except for the tranny fluid leak. This car runs and drives just like it is supposed to. Buy it and drive it home and finish the body and interior yourself. Car is being sold with the Crager rims and tires as shown in the pictures. You are going to get a pretty good car here. The 350 rocket motor sounds great with the side pipes and runs great! Body and interior The body and interior is in ruff condition as shown in the pictures. We had an estimate of $2,000 for the bodywork and paint. There is rust on the fenders, trunk, and floorboards. The frame is solid with no rust! The headliner is no good. The front seat does not match the back seat. The dash has some cracks. The carpet needs replaced. The hood latch mechanism on the front of the car has been replaced with a new one but we do not have the pull handle. There is a pull wire where the handle should go. You have to pull the wire to open the hood. The A/C system does not work. We have a working A/C system that came out of a donar car that will go with this car. Includes compressor, blower fan, evaporator, coil, and condenser. This AC system was a sealed working system when it was taken out of the donar car. This AC system is worth almost $1,000.00 by itself. May sell seperate if this car does not sell. New trunk pans come with this car. (not installed) We have a replacement trunk deck lid that is in better shape than the rusted out one on the car. You can have it if you purchase this car. This car comes with clear Florida title. It is currently registered and insured. You can come test drive it prior to purchasing. The mileage shows 91,467. We don't know if this odometer has been turned over. This car is sold as is. We can get estimates for shipping if you don't live in the area. PLEASE NOTE: This car is not perfect. It does run and drive and you can drive it home, but little things need to be taken into consideration. This car has not been driven very much and will have some bugs that need attention such as the turn signals, horn, lights, brake lights etc. Some of the instrumentation work, and some does not. The wiring needs redone on the brake lights. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. You will want to have Pep Boys or someone else fix up the lights and tranny fluid leak before you can drive this car safely on the road. What I am saying is that I do not think it is a good idea to try to drive this thing back home to Idaho from Florida. We drive it locally and have no problems.
