This beautiful black cherry rare 1936 Dodge ½ ton pickup is truly one of a kind and ready to make the next owner very proud. It is pretty easy to find a classic 1930’s era Ford or Chevy pickup truck, but it is exceedingly difficult to find a numbers matching original 1936 Dodge half ton truck. Having had only 3 owners, one repaint, and zero rust; it is clear to see that this great truck has always been babied and cherished. This amazing piece of automotive history has only 99,742 original miles on the odometer and runs and drives incredibly strong. The engine and transmission were rebuilt in the 1990’s and have only seen a handful of miles since. The truck comes with an entire binder filled with receipts, manuals, and diagrams. The master cylinder was just completely rebuilt and all brake lines re-bled. The plug wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, fuel filter, rotor, etc. were all replaced within the last month. The motor fires right up just as it should with the push of the ignition button and idles perfectly. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, just as it did in 1936. The clutch and brakes still have plenty of life left in them. The interior has just undergone and full restoration. The bench seat has been professionally recovered in top of the line Premier PF761 vinyl; along with custom made interior door panels, and kick plates. The floor was also recovered in a high endurance automotive all weather carpet. The dash and bulkhead were repainted to match the interior. The headliner is correct to the car and was redone in the mid 1990’s, and is in great shape. The wood bed was rebuilt to the specs of the bed that the truck has been sporting since at least 1952. It is uncertain whether this truck originally came from the factory without a bed, whether it came with a wooden bed, or whether a wooden bed was more suitable for the original owner’s needs. Either way the current bed was just professionally reconstructed out of premium grade white pine, just as it appears to have been for nearly 6 decades. The body of this great 1936 Dodge ½ ton Pickup Truck is in amazing condition and is very solid. The paint on the truck was redone in 1992, but has begun to show its age. From 10 feet away the paintwork looks very nice, but up-close you will notice scratches, buffing marks and a few chips. This truck will make the perfect truck for someone looking for a beautiful driver, but at the same time with very little efforts could be made into a true Show-Truck.
