Vehicle Detail

After finding extensive rust on my tiki green geo :( ... I have decided to let it go. Car has 260k miles on it. Head was rebuilt 100 miles ago and car runs pretty well (well over 40mpg). Trans shifts good and idle is relatively smooth for a straight pipe car. Can actually be driven if needed and is street legal without issue. The front frame horns are solid from what I can see and feel and have slight surface rust on the outside from the paint peeling off. It simply has the typical floorboard and inner fender rust and I do not have the time to repair before winter sets in. Comes with 2 extra motors, at least 2 heads. The head ON the car has stainless exhaust valves to prevent the dreaded burned valves. You also get 2 newish front struts, new arms with ball joints, 6 12" steel wheels and tires in decent shape if you count those on the car... pretty much all the parts to make a solid car. Only bad thing is the rust and a pull upon braking due to old struts and the need to bleed the brakes. You can trailer it home or come and drive it with all the parts in it. I drove it 60 miles per day until last week when I decided to sell it. That's why it has 3 working speakers and an old Sony Xplode CD stereo in it. I will also include an engine stand and extra manual transmission in the purchase as well as a 1994 Geo Metro Factory Service Manual. WILL include what I believe to be an XFi cam. Please contact me if you have under 10 feedback... Anyone with a horrible or under 10 feedback that does not contact me will have their bid cancelled. Item listed locally in the Detroit area and may be ended before it hits the reserve if someone locally does purchase it. Lastly, vehicle sold AS IS. http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/34/workcamera029.jpg http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/7517/iphonepics064.jpg http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/578/workcamera031.jpg http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/5602/workcamera036.jpg http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/6906/workcamera032.jpg http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/9552/workcamera034.jpg http://img863.imageshack.us/img863/8811/iphonepics086.jpg http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/1559/iphonepics089.jpg http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/315/workcamera003.jpg http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/6930/workcamera022.jpg http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/1343/workcamera028.jpg http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/6182/iphonepics065.jpg On Sep-06-11 at 07:22:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I had someone ask me about the dented front fender recently and realized it was not as easy to see on the picture as I thought. This car does have a dented front drivers fender from a neighbor not seeing the car parked in the street. It also is dinged and dented as tends to happen to these cars with thinner sheet metal. I have some extra tools that I have decided to give to the new owner should the price go over 600 dollars such as a ring compressor, valve lapping compound, and the tool to spin the valves when lapping. I also found an extra, brand new timing belt that fits an earlier model motor should you decide to rebuild one of the older motors I have. One motor is on the motor stand currently with the head off and pistons out for inspection. The other has been mostly disassembled to check it as well. Hope that answers some questions. If anyone has any others, feel free to ask. I am very happy people have shown interest and have been messaging in a timely manner. I sincerely hope this car goes to a good home. Thank you all and happy bidding. On Sep-06-11 at 10:06:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes, to those who asked, I am also including a new set of standard size piston rings and connecting rod bearings in the purchase. They have been laying in with the pile of parts I was going to use to build up an entirely new engine. The motor on the stand has already been honed in anticipation of this. Once I took the head off the current motor in the car, I realized that I simply had burnt valves and replaced them with the superior part. Lifters were all taken apart and hand rebuilt to ensure cleanliness and quietness.
