Are you tired of going to the local shows and car cruises just to see the same type of cars and trucks??? Want something different and VERY RARE?? Always dreamed of owning what most consider the “Holy Grail” of hot rods….A “DEUCE”?? Even if you find one it seems that EVERYONE has the same thing, a Roadster, 3 or 5 window, sedan…..Well here’s one that you’ll probably never see at the local car cruises or if you’re a collector, you probably don’t have one of these in your collection……. An ALL STEEL 1932 ROADSTER PICK UP!!! Only a few in existence today!!! Not to get this confused with an aftermarket Brookeville pick up or a regular cab that had its roof chopped off….. Contrary to what some may believe, original 1932 Ford Roadster pick-ups do NOT share the same cowl, windshield stations, windshield, doors, or dash as a regular passenger car roadster (see cowl comparison pic). The pick-up's cowl is shorter, there is a filler panel below the windshield, and the rear of the body has a kick up with a body line that follows (**SEE PICS**). FORD only made 593 ROADSTER PICK-UPS IN 1932!!! If you are looking for something that will probably be the only one at the local car cruise or need to fill the void in your car collection READ ON!!!....... This roadster pick-up was built with a ‘40’s race style in mind, but lightly modified to keep as much originality as possible……. This ALL STEEL body is VERY SOLID and VERY STRAIGHT with a working cowl vent. Very solid floors and no rust through at all!!! The doors are very solid with what looks like roadster inner door sheet metal for added strength (originally the doors only had outer skins and an inner wood frame) and aftermarket door latches for safety, which results in a very solid door closure. The bed & fenders are all steel as well, however, the rear fenders have had some bodywork done to them. I would recommend redoing the rear fenders. The paint is a “Washington Blue” with Black fenders. All wood including the floor and behind the seat have been revarnished. The engine is the original Model “B” 4 cylinder (the numbers on the block are the same as the vin numbers on the frame) that has been slightly modified with an aluminum Winfield “high compression” head, a Thomas tri-power aluminum intake with triple carbs, custom Red’s headers, with a Smitty’s muffler. A 12 volt conversion was done as well as a Pertronix electronic ignition upgrade for easy starting. A new sealed ball bearing style water pump makes for cool riding with this “Hot Rod” engine and adds to the reliability. Attention to detail isn’t too hard to find on this pick-up, look closely and you’ll see that the ‘40s theme is throughout, all four corners having ’35 Ford 16”wire wheels with 6.50x16 all around (big & littles came in the ‘50s), lowered in typical ‘40’s fashion by reversing the eyes and leaf removal. A rear shackle kit is added for additional lowering. The 40’s theme even follows into the interior cab with larger style pleats. This car is no trailer queen, but an awesome driver. Original pick-ups are very plain, so there are many items that have been “upgraded”. Chromed windshield & windshield post, complete interior w/carpet (originally they only had a black vinyl seat and a rubber mat), and a stayfast Mercedes style top. This pick-up starts right up, runs and drives great!!!It needs little to be a “showroom” vehicle. A great addition to a collection or drive as is. The original stuff is getting harder & harder to find (or in this case near impossible). Here's one you don't have to go looking for. I have seen another ’32 Roadster pick-up IN PIECES asking $95K and another that was running many years ago for $125K. Get a better value with this one, since I'm listing this with no reserve....That's right.... "NO RESERVE"!!!
