For sale is a 1981 FIAT Spider 2000 convertible 5 speed. Original color is Grigio Fumo Met. (Italian for "Smoke Grey Metallic" looks more like a light green) with tan top and tan interior. Garaged most of its life, it is in SUPER condition. Right now it has 76,697 original miles. I've had the car for 8 years and have immensely enjoyed driving and working on it. I've done quite a bit of routine maintenance and upgrades to it along the way including performance rear exhaust, new gas tank, headlight relays, free flow air filter system, new timing belt (and much more). Paint was redone matching the original color 7 years ago and touched up 4 years ago. Very sharp. Tan canvas top installed 8 years ago and in very good shape. Wheels are aftermarket 15” Panasport aluminum racing wheels, very light. Tires are Pirelli P700-Z, 205/50 R15 with lots of tread. Aftermarket Pioneer CD/radio. Aftermarket Pioneer speakers in front with very good/full sound. The radio’s power source is connected to the key/door alarm chime power source, so instead of hearing the door chime, the radio can play when the key is inserted in the off position, unlike the factory wiring that requires the key to be in the "on" position. Also included are: Custom fitted car cover, 2 maintenance manuals, FIAT branded fender cover for protection while working under the hood, some extra parts, and a couple specialty tools. I just had it professionally tuned with the fuel system and timing optimized and some aging fuel lines replaced. The car starts instantly with a turn of the key every time cold or hot weather. As a result of some upgrades, it gets 19-28 mpg with premium gas. I would be happy to answer any questions.
